My mother was showing me how to refill this industrial spring-loaded stapler and the back of it came flying off SO CLOSE to my face! If I did not have my dreads hanging down in my face (literally took my ponytail down 5 mins before) I would have lost my left eye for sure!

The dreads cushioned the blow and all I have is a little cut just below my eyebrow. It happened so fast that there was no time to react. So, thank you dreadlocks for saving me from blindness

LOL I feel ya on the rotten teeth...I lost 2 veneers (never should have got them) and the little pegs both turned a nasty color...still living also

My dog got an abscess, so that's when I started taking all this more seriously. It's a total ripoff, but in his case it's not a scam. I've had so many dentists and veterinarians scam me over the years! Why can't we all just live off sunshine and happiness?! If there's a bank robbery in Florida tomorrow you will know who did it! hahahah obvi kidding

As many of you guys know I'm a polymer clay artist. I make beads, jars, and jewelry that I sell in my Etsy shop. Long story short, my chihuahua is really sick and I am desperately seeking sales to raise money for his dental surgery. I've cleared out my savings dealing with his medical expenses (kidney trouble due to bacteria from broken teeth entering the bloodstream) and thought I would turn to the only people who seem to care about others. I don't always comment on every post, but I consider us all a sort of weird internet family. If you are in the market for dread beads or could toss a buck into the Charlie Fund I would be FOREVER GRATEFUL!

pimple like bumps around hair line? anyone else?

I sometimes get little whiteheads on my hairline, but I got them before I started my dreads, so I dunno. Yours sound like sweat pimples, where they don't really pop but they look have the bumpiness of a pimple. I think if there were buggies they'd be in more random spots. Anytime I have a bump on the nape of my neck it's from getting sweaty.

I NEVER thought this could be from pulling my hair back tightly, so cheers to the person above who suggested that!!

More reasons to not use a crochet hook. Don't watch if you're squeamish.

Heavy is the perfect word for it, SE! I am currently low on my dread potion (rose, tea tree, sandalwood), so I was happy to have this as a backup.

On a side note, I have horrible skin and this has really helped flake off some of my dry patches. I had a nasty pimple near my hairline and after it healed this stuff got rid of all the icky flaking skin so I could actually cover the area with makeup.

The serum smells amazing and for $15 the bottle will last over a year for sure if you are using on face and hair.

My sister bought me a this prickly pear skin serum/oil moisturizer stuff and I decided to use it on my dreads. Here's the ingredients:

Prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, fragaria ananassa (strawberry) seed oil, ribes nigrum (black currant) seed oil, sambucus nigra (elderberry) seed oil, juniperus virginiana (cedar) oil, opuntia ficus-indica (prickly pear) fruit extract, anthemis nobilis (chamomile) flower oil, cymbopogon schoenanthus (lemongrass) oil, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, salvia sclarea (clary sage) oil, and rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract.

I have been taking just a little drop and dabbing it directly onto my tips when I'm bored lol. I squirted some onto my scalp once and it did make my hair wicked greasy, but washed out easily. Now I only do the bottoms.

OMG, my sister joined the forum!!! I barely come on because I can't get on the mobile site and it always freezes my computer, but WELCOME!!! Everyone on here is soooo awesome and friendly (not sure why no one has replied, but big hugs for joining something so out of your normal comfrot zone!) There's lots of cool Etsy artists on here and tons of other peoples' stories about why they choose to have dreads.

You really have grown up to be such a wonderful, sweet person and I thank you for making the effort to love all kinds of people. I know you were afraid of dreadies lol...I've been telling you to come on here for years to show you how many gentle (and clean!) souls have dreads-- I hope you can sign back on (You texted that this was the most confusing site you've ever been on lol) and share some more love to my fellow dread peeps!
