Job interview!!!! woohoo...kinda

dreads jobs employment issues

So i have an interview tomorrow for a car dealership, and i need some tips on how to make my dreadies a bit more "professional" looking...under normal circumstances I wouldnt really care what they think of my dreads because i know that eventually I will find an employer who truly doesn't judge people based on appearances and that is who i really want to work for...but these are hardly normal circumstances I recently moved back from Kentucky to Nevada and am back to living with my parents who aren't the most open minded people ever and I really need to speed up the employment process and get the F outta here haha...anyway im just looking for tips on how to get my dreads looking "presentable" FYI I haven't done anything with them so they have lots of loose hair and when I pull them back they are very lumpy looking I think I'm going to palm roll some aloe into them and see what happens any advice isappreciated

Starting out & tying hair back.

Dreading Methods

I would just get a piece of crocheted wool and keep your hair out of your face...I hope this helps

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

I wasn't really planning on this for awhile but I need to figure out a way to style my hair for an interview. I lost my job a week ago...bummer but its whatever and I got bills to pay so I gotta find a way to pass the rural Kentucky conservative inspection my dreads are only 5-6 months old and shoulder length any help or opinions are appreciated

I'm in the same boat Chris! My hair has been dreading for about two and a half months, and I have tons of loose hair in the front. Did you have bangs before you let your hair dread? This shorter section of my hair just started staying together recently, but there's still plenty of free hair. I bought a crochet hook to weave the loose hairs into the dreads, but they ended up popping out again so I don't recommend trying it. Just be patient... I figure it'll work itself out.

tons of loose hair

General Talk

i have tnr " dreads " about 2 months old....loose hair doesnt really bother me but my dreads in the front have tons of loose hair WAYYYYY more than anywhere else on my head i guess i just wanted to see if this was something that normally happens or if I am slowing the locking process by wearing a crocheted band to keep my have back at work (pretty much the only time awake lately) any advice or tips would be appreciated
