update 7+ months of natural dreadins!

Member Journals and Timelines

So I hit my 7 Months about 2 weeks ago I believe and it was a very big change from last month I'm starting to really see the shape in them and almost my whole head is dreaded I'm losing loose hair quick :]

and I've started a new routine I guess I just got the dread shampoo bar I ordered last week and this stuff is great my dreads are soft but they still feel like they have some grip to them and I really like the smell of it I wasn't expecting it to be so strong but its pretty cool like an hour after a shower I can still smell the dragons blood and so can everyone around me haha but yes here are some pictures of my progress :] the second one is the new one that just started growing like 3 days ago and its starting to become of my favorites

safe to wash hair while they're wrapped?

Dread Accessories

Hmmmm I look that up now and I'll probably try the embroidery thread cause I've used hemp before and it like fused with my dread in like five minutes it took like in hour to get out and I had to carefully cut some parts no damage to my dread though thankfully

np if u wabt a good wrap embroidery threads decorative hemp durable hemp wraops have lswsted n[me 5 years

but

when wrapping if u want ekm to last do the fancy knotted kind (look up chinese ladder or chinese staircase bracelets as an example of how to do the knots) if u just wrap without knots ioin a few weeks they begin to coe apart or unravel and get sloppy

the knotted type wraps will last way way longer

especialy hemp

hair too soft to dread?

Dread Maintenance

I wash with 2/3 a cup of baking soda in 3 quarts of water and let it sit for 15 mins rinse and then 2/3 of a cup of acv in 3 quarts of water and let that sit for about 5 mins then rinse and I probably try the salt water but i live like 2 miles from the beach so ill probably just take a dip or get a spray bottle lol

hair too soft to dread?

Dread Maintenance

so I'm about 6 1/2 months in now and lately when I've done my washes my hairs been getting like baby hair soft and silky smooth i was just wondering could this cause my hair to dread slower cause I've started to notice my dreads are getting real loose feeling and they're usually real tight any feedback will be greatly appreciated

love and peace :]
