will dreads fall out?

Dread Maintenance

My friend and I had a conversation and the topic was that natural dreads eventually fall out. Has anyone lost a dread with natural method? Or knows of someone who might have lost a dread or dreads.. I however believe that, by natural method, dreads will not fall out. If one is twisting and pulling on a dread constantly then I think it might fall out. :)

Dread dead hair or what?

Dread Maintenance

When your hair is knotting up, does this cause your hair to become damaged? Basically does having dreads damage hair?

causing split ends, breakage etc.

Thanks for anydiscussion:)

OCCUPY WALL STREET *PEACEFUL REVOLUTION, HAPPENING NOW ON WALL STREET*

General Talk

No Kenny.. You have been misinformed or misunderstand, because this movement is about educating and sharing knowledge about what has happened and continues to happened today. People are tired & frankly pissed off about the 1% ceos, bankers, investors, rich people getting bail outs, pay outs, and we the 99% don't receive much. We have a crappy education system, students can not pay back loans and when graduating can not find work. People are losing homes, more & more homes will be foreclosed upon and more & more people will end up on the street. People are going without heath care or aid and there are cures for these people but because they don't have the proper insurance or money well they have to suffer/die. It's unjust and not right what has unfolded. We have gone soo far from our spiritual selves that we forget where are roots extend from. We've been raping the land of the resources and believing there will be enough for tomorrow. This occupation is simply about not taking what has been given, how we've been misinformed and lied to, people are sick & tired. So that is what this occupying the EARTH is really about, saving the earth & people before we waste everything & destroy everything. :)) Peace & love, stay united as one, for we are a whole and can never be defeated

Uh... sebum.

Help! Save My Dreads

Hey I had a sebum issue as well, it was horrible for myself because like you I wanted my hair clean. :P it makes one's dread process that much more enjoyable when you know your hair is clean, so I came across this product called neutrogena anti-residue shampoo (you can find at your local rite-aid,wal-mart for inexpensive price) and it works amazing in my hair..:D I am soo happy that I came across it, it truly allowed me to witness the dirt & gunk junk be released from my hair. I was so shocked when i seen all the residue that was freed from my hair when I used this shampoo. I only use it when i feel is needed, which is not often. I use baking soda/acv and then i use the neutogena shampoo sparingly* to be sure my hair is clean. When i used neutrogena anti-residue shampoo for the first time, a lot of built up residue was released, but when i used it again one month later, the residue released barely discolored the water, so to me it shows that it's not needed that often and does a great job at keeping the hair clean. So a little bit really does go a long way with this product, i hope my post helps & have a wonderful journey! peace

That's cool you tried it!! I'm glad you can be your own critic! :D I wonder if the sticky 'effect' is because of the hair type or water, because that's why thing I did not notice while using this product was it being sticky effect...LOL you find it smells like dust, thats funny...I find it smells like chemicals, like its purposely for cleaning nothing else, not to add a fragrance or volume but to clean, so i did not mind because i just want my hair to be clean..:P It's weird you used a lot of the shampoo and seen not much residue appear in the water...And I used a little shampoo for my mim 2 feet hair and seen sooo much residue in the water..shows how different hair types show results..That's why i think if one knows a lot of residue will not be present this product would NOT be needed as often as required. :) have a great journey & peace

JACKPOT, BEST PRODUCT, HAIR SAVER & DREAD SAVER, great for all hair types!!

Introduce Yourself

Sorry you took my outright honesty and truthful information as disrespect, but i guess that is why EVERYONE has their own opinions. I can care less if 'you've seen' heather be kind to everyone in 'other forums' but the fact of the matter is, like you quoted me" i asked for EXPERIENCE" What heather stated about the smell was 'her personal opinion from her experience', i used the same product and i could have decided it smelled GREAT but that would be my OPINION.. BUT what Heather stated about the sulfate AND I QUOTE "also it has sulfates which have been linked to hair loss which i definitely can't afford" is TO ME transmitting wrongful information, making one believe if they use it once or twice it can possibly cause hair loss, can't afford that. IF YOU EAT UNHEALTHY, STRESS, TAKE MEDICATIONS, etc they will all cause hair loss...Its a matter of how much we use and how often, I WOULD concur if she stated excessive usage might cause hair loss, or basically ABUSING the product and not following the instructions that are SPECIFICALLY on the bottle.. Myself have used sulfate based products my entire life and I to this day have a head full of hair..So my point exactly it was her biased OPINION not from her own EXPERIENCE, of using this product and then going bald, big difference.. Find peace within yourself to not search forums to share and acknowledge information that is inaccurate and not fully represented. You can and i repeat use this product consciously and not go bald, i say that with experience using sulfate based products everyday and not being bald today! Peace be with you:)Read more: JACKPOT, BEST PRODUCT, HAIR SAVER & DREAD SAVER, great for all hair types!! - dreadlocks forums http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/jackpot-best-product-hair?xg_source=activity&id=3754945%3ATopic%3A918636&page=1#comments#ixzz1TRonaGw9 the best place for real dreadlocks no lies no products to buy just truth about healthy dreadsUnder Creative Commons License: Attribution

wow. im blown away by your outright rudeness and disrespect for others. and no i am not acquaintances with either parties. i have seen heather around in a few other forums and have never seen her be anything but kind to others. it you will read your last paragraph you said AND I QUOTE 'If anyone tries this Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo, I would love to hear your experience'. she gave her experience as well as stated a couple of facts and she got slammed for it!! in no way was she rude! if you cant take opinions other than your own to have some relevance then maybe you should not ask for them. may you find peace within yourself.

I agree SE, it can be used just as that extra once in awhile cleaning aid..For me because i am really active, i might use it once or twice a month *still less then requested* we'll see but for now I'm glad I'm rid of that gunk-junk SE it was discouraging. take care & peace :)

JACKPOT, BEST PRODUCT, HAIR SAVER & DREAD SAVER, great for all hair types!!

Introduce Yourself

I understand you're an acquaintance to heather & feel the need to run to her aid in some fictional belief I dont care for her to share her opinion..But that is where you & others whom may want to post in some defense is wrong.. There is a big difference with throwing out opinions and having one's own experiences. There is no need for it & for one to use as requested on the bottle or even like i said twice a month or like SE stated every 2 months, whichever as long as its not 'abusing' it, see if one will go bald, i highly doubt it, if they are wise..So to say' i don't like the smell*opinion but to say *it can cause hair loss/baldness* out right wrongfully transmitting information..Remember though if you follow directions you won't go bald and will have clean hair! and clean hair is all that matters, that is the point :) peace

If you are allowed to share you're opinion and results about something anyone else should be eighter. she did not try to hold back people from trying it. she just share her opinion just like you did.
