brand new dreads.

Introduce Yourself

Besides the size issue that came up earlier, I think they are beautiful! I've had mine... 6 or 7 weeks (can't remember exactly right now aha) and they have quite a few bumpies too. I love them though! I was concerned at first about them too, 'cause I thought they wouldn't look as nice, but they look fine. They honestly aren't that noticeable and they give unique character to each dread :)

I've been working with a variety of different sized loops as well. I have fairly small dreads, but I know most people have bigger ones, so a lot of the ones I make don't fit on my dreads at all haha

I also made this cute little leaf chain.... here's a picture of how it looks in dreads:

I let my sister use it a lot, and I still have some projects I would like to do with it. I don't plan on buying more once it's gone. I wanna do some more stuff like this:

I wish there were more charity type, community places around where I live, but the city I live in is kinda rich, and mostly concrete and road (it's like a giant suburb bleh). I live here to go to school :/

Maybe you could take it to a vet hosp/home for them to use in crafts?

Yeah I prefer to work with natural materials. I used to work with sculpey a lot, but I just prefer natural materials now. Unfortunately I still have a LOT of sculpey left

Hmm... I love art and have made art my whole life. -what ever medium you choose, I would try to keep it simple and classy. -cylindrical glass with out lots of swirls and bubbles and stuff seems good. -And wood and bone stuff is always fresh...I personally think sculpy and cheaper plastic stuff looks lame, but to each his own...

Ugh, animals! I know if I made one I would need to watch out for my cat. She will bite and chew almost anything that is left within her reach (she has a soft spot for bracelets and beads too :/ )

I made a turquoise seed beed sleeve and it was sooo pretty! I used thin beadalon elastic, got a custom fit. Unfortunately, my little dog decided it's taste really good, lol, and now it's gone. Need to make another. Thanks MiaEliz for this page with patterns']

That's a cool idea! A good chance to reuse some materials :) and bamboo is such a nice bead material too

my brother has a bamboo door curtains and one day i was walking out of his room and ripped one row off (this was a couple years ago). i hid the row from him in my drawer so he wouldnt get mad (he found out haha). But a couple weeks ago i noticed that these would make perfect beads and it works a lot. There are a lot of beads and with different sizes.
