Help! Save My Dreads

Kind of hard to avoid fights when it's your job to stop them. I work security at a night club. What I'm mainly trying to find out is if there are any tips you can give me to help secure that lock of hair and make it stronger cuz it's barely hanging on. Thank you for the information you've given me but perhaps I should have been more clear in my questions.

or stop wearing the beannie and stop caring biyut the bald spot

whatever y do do not force the new growth tio dread or fit into the boring 1 inch squares just leave it alone to dread as it grows..

and best advice i can give.. when u see a fights about to begin ..take a step back..then another then another then turn and walk away

no fight is ever worth fighting

Help! Save My Dreads

Ok don't know how to start this so Ima just jump right in it's been about a month now and I used the back combing method to get them started (no wax). Any way they're still in the stage where they look like shit. I got in a fight aweek ago and the fuckin pussies got to pulling my hair. Now I know it's only been a month. But all the hair that was locking up at the root ain't no more I now have gaps you can fit a finger through in their place. And I know that'll correct with time is what y'all are going to tell me but that's not all. They ripped out damn near a whole dread to the scalp. I did 1in squares and I have a bald spot bout the size of a quarter if that can give you an idea of how much of the dread is still hanging on. So cuz of that I've been wearing a beanie every where I go and I think it's hurting the locking process. Cuz when I take it off my hair is all flat and nasty. So my questions are can they be saved? Cuz if I have to wait til that hair grows to a certain legnth (which it's been a week and it's still bald so it's fina be a while) to complete that dread I might as well chop em off and start over right? And also is wearing this beanie for extended periods of time damaging my dreads? (considering they're still new and have been through what they've been through.)
