i have this lovely soft cashmere sweater that I have been using as a pillow case all winter, we cosleep too, I just tied the arms together, no problem It's soooo soft, I love it. probably not the best wool for dreading though

how much separating should you be doing in the beginning?

it's been a week and half since I last combed my hair and most of the hiar in the back is knotted and tangly. my concern is that I dont want it to just be one big tangled mess but I dont want to mess with it if that's just the normal process. somy question is how much separating of the hair should I be doing. i've definitely lost a lot of length already in the back

thanks. another question, the hair at the nape of my neck has turned into a rat ball, should I be trying to keep it from balling up or is that fairly normal?

well thanks for starting this thread. Im sure they are sick of all the newb questions but there really is a lot more to it than "just dont comb it" I really wish there was a super detailed natural dread for dummies post. i had no idea that you were suppose to rinse the salt water out. woops.

You know, I checked out the other sites before finding this one and honestly from reading the "how to" I had thought there has to be a different way. there was no way I was going to go through the hassle described on those pages. so I'm glad I found this site because even if it's as simple as "neglect" i really feel like i need support
