the beauty of the early messy stage of natural neglect dreadlocks

Dreadlock Picture Gallery

I like that,

"it seems alive now" never thought of it that way but yes it does, I cant help but have my fingers in it all the time feeling how hard some of the parts of the dread has become, some feel like concret they are so tight

To me it's like my hair is alive now, it's so cool to watch it curl and knot up and shrink like it's crawling back to my head lol. To watch it everyday and see it change it's like how they hell is this happening haha.

All were beautiful, I did the rip and tear but wish I would have let them dread themselves after seeing the beauty in these.

my first comment and it wasn't nice:(

General Talk

Next time say " I think straight hair in locks are so beautiful. I think some just have a chip on there shoulder, I dated a black man and got to know his family, they were so nice and excepted me into their family, but most the blacks were the ones that would give me the evil eye when they saw us together, not the whites. I guess they cant get their hair in very many styles so they claim the one they can. Sounds like they would have said something nasty about you anyway, some people are just rude. I use to take things to heart and it would really hurt me, I guess I thought everyone should like me, but soon found out some wont, so I just stay away from those people.

I had to laugh at your description of her, I know it isnt really funny but loved the "looked like a tumor". I really never knew how fragle hair really was till I got on this site. Its a wonder modern man even has hair with all we do it it and put on it, I never wanted a hot flat plate on my hair just comon sense it would burn your hair, but girls use the every day.

Partial Dreads maintaining....

Dread Maintenance

thank you, strange how our hair grows. I have thick hair but each strand is thin and before dreading it, I couldnt even get a comb through it, it was nothing but tangles, I just dont understand how it grows in straight, so I dont twist it or nothing, ok , thanks for telling me, my dreads are two weeks old but feel like straw I am afraid it will brake off, is there oil or conditioner to use without making them to soft?
