But putting an acid and an alkali in a bowl will result in you resulting with either a bowl of plain bog standard water, or if you've put more of one than the other a slightly vinegar OR slightly baking powder mix... So you might as well save your cash and just put the one in...

I was so chilled with this journey thing until I met a woman whilst on holiday with my bf. We ended up having a discussion about dreads and how I "should" backcomb them n use wax n not wash my hair n palm roll n god knows what else...
My hair is not fast to dread but I was cool with waiting. Now, I just don't want to wait...
They only thing that is stopping me is that I love how natural dreads look with their kinks n loops n craziness.

Man! I would love to start off my dreads with TnR or backcombing... It's just I SOOO can't be bothered... I TnRed two and got so bored so went and did something else! I think it would be much easier to control the mental knots. I've got dreads forming that are basically the width of my head and its kind of heart breaking to tear them part every day!

Yeah, it is indeed skin deep but as I haven't ever met her, and probably never will, she is a perfect candidate for girly envy...! Sometimes it's just nice to watch something pretty But yes, I do agree with you on the bringing out the personality thing!
Thinking about it, there must be quite a lot of dread envy going on as well, because I don't think she looks as awesome without dreads... Maybe when my hair has even remotely started locking up I will see things differently!
She does remind me very much of one of my best friends though. In fact, the one friend that was like "You HAVE to get dreadlocks. They are completely you". Straaange...!
Yeah it's weird... I don't know whether it's just me but some of them still look TnR'd if you know what I mean... Like woven? I thought that would have gone by then...?
Maybe her hair just grows really fast or something!! She makes me wish I still had blonde hair like I did when I was a kid!
Haha! I know what you mean... Not feeling particularly attractive atm so it's especially demoralising.
Found a video of her tying her dreads up. I'm not being funny, but if I did it the way she does (once I have dreads 
) I would feel totally ridiculous but she just looked awesome.
I also love the beads she's put in and am really looking forward to being able to do it! I have another reason why I want dreads
