how to start my dreads

Introduce Yourself

Do not towel dry, after your showers.

wash with some dr bronners liquid soap on your roots gently

and dance.

General Talk

are we embracing the technological whirlwind ahead of us? I think we should take the headphones out and get off the smartphone app bandwagon. 35$ a month ?!

Been dreading for 6 months. They won't stay dreaded!

Dread Maintenance

Yea listen to SE. dont towel dry,

dont even wash your hair for a week or two. just get it really wet and allow the water to section your hair and those thin hairs you have will just dance around eachother.

best way is neglect man. dont try to make dreads, youll only be vexed.

Drying dreadlocks after washing

Dread Maintenance

I like to use a extra towel and put it around my neck so my hair is dripping all onto towel.

then go walk or something.

sometimes ill be cold enough to sit in front of a space heater, man thats nice sometimes when its real cold.

Ive stumbled across the ultimate dreading shampoo!

Dreading Methods

using a whole bottle is ridiculous! the dilution rate with dr bronners is very small.

your only suppose to use 2 drops really for a scalp rub or a little more for more soap. the dilution is like 18-1 i think

Dread Products

But is pouring it on my head effective? I feel like maybe i should be rubbing it in my scalp?

letting sit for 10 min? rinsing?

First Dr.bronners wash..did i do it right?

Dread Products

So, I washed my hair for the first time using dr. bronners almond liquid soap.

I poured a cm of soap on the surface of my gallon jug, and filled it to the brim with warm water. I pretty much used the BS solution method , but with bronners. i did 18-1 water

How do you guys dilute it?

I did like the way my hair felt after!
