tips for taking care a brand new dreadies?

Dread Maintenance

You can wash em now! I dont trust johnsons baby shampoo but it might work but its bloody pricey!Clean hair dreads faster! I'm using SEs famous BS ACV routine and it's spot on!Grab a 2 litre jug heave in 5 tablespoons of baking Soda (bicarbonate of soda) and a few drops of lavender essential oil(kills mould and the like) if ya like a little Rosemary to tame the scalp and fill with hot water.Let cool a little whilst you wet your noggin and pour over your head.Leave in for 7-10mins and rince real well. Then add 6 tablespoons of vinegar (any will do but Apple Cider Vinegar is the one of choice) to your clean jug and fill with water. Pour over your dreads and rince out after a few seconds. Longer you leave it in the softer your pics feel. But baby dreads best keep time short.Cheap easy and no nasty chemicals or residues.

Out of Baking Soda!!

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Go on eBay and buy one of those 25kg sacks. Delivered to your door and you won't need and bs for ages! Works out like a dollar a kilo or something.

How fat is fat?

Dreading Methods

I have 45 dreads and I'm wondering how much they will thicken up if at all? After 2 months I'm noticing a shortening. Will they expand to the size of the section (1 inch)

Job interview?!?!

Introduce Yourself

I'm a full time musician and producer but alas not enough money to pay The old taxman...So got an interview as a electronics and audio salesman. How do I make my 1 & 1/2 month old dreads look sweet on the day? After the day I'm going to go back to normal but I need to look smart as f**k on the day. They are somewhat fluffy at the moment. But thanks to the advice here, wax free, and locking up nicely.

Salt Wash

Dread Maintenance

I made my mix the same strength as I use in my marine fish tanks. There are lots of other salts in sea water ands It is measured very accurately. But for this purpose it's about half a cup of sea salt per US Gallon. So it's not any worse than a dip in the ocean. To be fair it probably excessive and expensive. But worth a try and evidently effective if you can't just pop down the beach :-)

Salt Wash

Dread Maintenance

Well I'll be buggered he's right! Lol I ringed my hair and left it half hour though then washed it as normal. And it's looping up and matting up amazingly well.
