John Butler's dread method, can you tell?

Dreading Methods

nah he's still got shortish hair. I noticed a couple of little dreads in the back that have formed though. It's just his type of hair. Ah-la-natural!

Leah do you mean he's growing them back? I absolutely adore this man, and he's so gorgeous with or without his dreads... but man they were sweet. I'd love to see them make a return.

Guess the beautiful music is the same regardless!

We need a "My hair won't naturally dread" support group!

Dreading Methods

This is bullshit and stupid. Grow up and let people have their own thoughts on the matter. Really, if you think your way is the only right way, for everybody, you sure have tickets on yourself.

life expectancy of Crochet'd dreads

Dreading Methods

exactly!!

Knottysleeves said:
The life expectancy of dreads depends on a lot of things -- the condition of your hair, how strong it is, how aggressively or gently you used any starting method, etc. Neglect dreads can break too. There's no reason why crocheted dreads can't last a lifetime, if that's what you want.

we all shaved or started over dreadheadhq/knottyboy dreads the right way, wonder why?

Dreading Methods

I used knotty boy wax when I first had my dreads. I think back then I used to to keep my dreads very tidy and neat because I was working at a 5star resort. While I was working there I had to get maintence on them which included root-flipping. So now, 5 years later, I do none of those things. I don't need the wax (was to lazy to put it on anyways) and I don't have the root flipping thing the lady did when I had maintence. As to starting all over again because off all this??? I wound'nt have even thought of it and never would have. I love me dreads, they're healthy and clean and I love them. I think after 5 years I know what's good for them and not. xxx
