Dreading Methods

heather your not doing it wrong at all!! i felt the same when when i looked at hers and along with alot of people on this site, and i get discourage alot... but im telling you are going to have very unique dreads! because your letting them do what they want!! and you know what there going to look so BEAUTIFUL! i always look foward to seeing your next pictures since your a little bit ahead of me on the road of dreading, and i always see so much new progress and it always makes me feel better and reassures me that hair will dread up on its own! because some days i feel like my hair is so stubborn and that no changes are happening!

i know exactly how you feel about all this, and im 100% with you on this journey.. i just cannot wait to see how ours turn out in the end.. CLEAN..HAPPY..UNIQUE dreads :)

crochet dreads way too huge what should i do?

Help! Save My Dreads

hello, i started my first set off with backcombing and crocheting, i wanted big dreads as well and i only had 20, i started over naturally and ive had them for only 1 month and now i have 48 locks.

IF you want to take yours out it is possible, i crochet mine about 7 time sin a 4 month period they were very tight you can go through my pictures and see. anyways to take them out i used

V05 conditioner

comb

hot water

start by soaking your dreads with conditioner(i use a whole bottle taking mine out)

then fill up yourr sink with HOT water,

put your dread underneath the water and you can pick it apart with your fingers, or comb..ALWAYS start from the bottom of your dread and work your way up..(make sure you keep your hair under the water while pickin it apart, the hot water helps or it to be softer and come apart more easily)

i did loose alot of hair, but probably only the same amount of hair i would have lost in 4 months, and a little extra, lost diff amount of hair with diffrent dreads.

and you dont have to go natural even tear and rip works great!! and you'll still have alot more that way, you may think when you first start that they look skinny if you have alot in but over time they WILL fatten out! all tht hair that you would be loosing ever day gets caught in your dreads

hope this helped you out!! :)

Hello everyone! New to dreads. **Updated with pictures**

Introduce Yourself

if you want to take them out just soak your hair in super hot water, then put on a ton of conditioner v05 works great! use a ton a ton a ton of conditoner and let it soak into your hair for a min, then put your hair under the water, and work from the bottom up pulling the knots apart (pull it apart under the warm water works alot easier.)im sure it will be very easy to take them out since they havnt been in long, i had dreads for 4 months, and crochet them, they were very very tight and i got mine out, didnt loose to much hair either!! now im going all natural and im very happy
