rounded ends! help!

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

Ive had rounded tips for 18months now, and Ive never had a problem with drying :/Stay away from the wax. what i did was backcombed the tips tight and the stray hairs that were left were weaved in very small section up and down the last inch to inch and a half of the dread. Youll need a very fine hook and a lot of patience. Once done you shouldnt need to redo them (Ive never had to).

a interlocking loctician wanted to show me how great interlocking is

Dreading Methods

using the method shown, yes it would cause weak spots. where as he does it multiple times for on one dread per session, i do it once per dread, once a month. they are very strong and matted up a lot better then the rest of my hair that was b.c.

Dreading Methods

as a neat freak i wouldnt normally say this, but she looked far better before. :(her hair is so tight she'll have headaches for weeks!and at the risk of being blasted, i use this method on myself. but no where near being as tight as that, mine are still loose when im done. there is no way i would let him touch my head!

Drying your Dreads...

Dread Maintenance

if i need my dreads dryed fast i use a wet to dry straightner. i go over them once, they are still alittle damp after, but nothing to worrie about.

Discouraged :/

Introduce Yourself

i thought the same when i was thinking about doing it, i was so worried about them not looking good on me. heaps of people told me not to and that i was pretty the way i was.but i did it anyway. and to be honest i get really nice comments from people of all walks of life these days.i have only ever met 1 person that was judgemental towards dreads. he hated people with them and considered them dirty. i changed his mind and he employed me.

Question about bleaching dreads

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

when i bleached 6 of my dreads the first time they went orange, then they were re-bleached the next day and went light blonde. that was over a year ago now and ive had no problem with breakage what so ever.

Who has decorated Dreads?

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

i always colour my dreads now. usualy black with a bright colour on my bleached ones. there are 1 or 2 pandora beads in there somewhere as well. i did have a few silver beads but over time they've all gone.

Threaded Tips?

Dreading Methods

wraped and threaded are 2 different things. one is for decoration just like beads and done with contrasting colours, while threading is done to match in with the dread to get rid of loops.
