Hello all you lovely dreadheads.

It's been quite some time since i've posted a discussion or been very active on here. So i thought i would say hi and see how everyone is doing. It's a beautiful day and spirits are high. My dreads are doing awesome and starting to tighten up pretty good, it will be 3 months on Feb. 7th. I would love to hear of all your guys' journeys so far. Maybe a little bit about yourselves as well.

What Made you decide to dread?

Its always fascinating the many different reasons for dreading! For me i had wanted them for years, but never really understood the history of dreadlocks. I just remember being at festivals and the whole time thinking to myself.. why don't i have dreads, it just felt so natural to leave my hair uncombed..Now that i have them it doesn't seem like it would be any different and i feel like I've had them all along, maybe not physically but definitely a mental part of my life.. I would have the one or two dreads in my head just waiting til i got the "courage" to do my whole head. I feel like i was meant to have dreads as a part of this journey I'm going on in this lifetime. I wouldn't change a thing!

awe, such an assortment of animal friends.. i know i woman who had a deer who wore a diaper, and two possums named after me and jeanine..a skunk that was just like a cat. so awesome. a fox would be awesome

ahh i my cat's a watches me meditate too i used to want a ferret a long time ago.. but i hear they are stinkers. as im reading these my little baby Sadi ( my kitty) just jumped up to be with me. i love hearing all your stories.

Maybe its just me, but i seem to notice a lot of us dread lovers also love our cats. I'm always noticing the lurking cat in the background or (mainly girls) kissing or holding their cats in pictures. Honestly i think it's because they are so damn cute and cuddly. Their purr is soothing and can put you right to sleep. Anyways i love my cat, just putting it out there. Also this is one of the most random posts I've ever made. Just having some fun,have some fun with me?!

p.s. notice my pictures, you'll see..she's a lurker and a lover

well thank you, i havent tried the apple cider vinegar yet. so ill give that a try.

i'm having moderate to bad dandruff. i use the bs rinse for my hair and when i started using it i didn't notice any dandruff but now its kind of getting bad. i dont know if it could be the weather change and my scalp is just dry or what? i even use rosemary to try to help it and decreased the baking soda i put in the rinse.. i dont know what to do, any suggestions?
