Dreadlocks + The Hardcore Modification Community

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

i took it out because i got a new job that required taking it out during working hours, i left it out for a few days, and it hurt very badly to put it back in and then keep taking it out every night after that... i couldnt give it time to heal.

i think its gaining popularity, when i got mine done the piercer didnt know the name of it. i think its the best facial piercing for a woman, so feminine....

and yeah shanxon- i had a bad habit of biting on mine and ended up chipping my front tooth because of it.

Dread Maintenance

you could help them along with TnR if youre really worried about it or it looks goofy. but remember to just be patient with them as well

Ocean+dreads=??

Introduce Yourself

Steaze McGee said:

I don't live near the ocean. Where do I find salt for my dreads? Or is there a specific kind of salt for them?

seasalt. from the grocery. ive heard some debate over iodized or not, i prefer the most natural i can get. mix it up with hot water and spray or mist it on after a shower.i did it for like the first 2 months but the back of my neck always got itchy hehe

make up

General Talk

ive stopped wearing make up since dreading up. it wasnt a conscious thing, i think i just feel more confortable with myself and not as pressured to fit in and appease everyone.
