Active lifestyles are awesome!

General Talk

This is pretty much pointless, but I am very bored and stuck inside because well, everything is pretty much closing down right now. But I enjoy a very active lifestyle, outdoors, work, weightlifting, mma, etc... Was gonna take a vote how many people agree that being outside/doing something anything beats sitting here watching NFL redzone. Hahaha. Yeah, that bored.... Already worked out today and still feel like a caged animal. It kinda sucks. But anyways, If you do enjoy this kinda stuff, post up! Tell us all what kinda crazy stuff you get into and offer opinions, ideas.. etc. Just thought it'd be a nice topic for discussion. Hehe :)We won't pretend that this is the end. We're not losers all of the time. We mosh and we fall. We're one and for all!Peace.

METH HELP!!!!!! i need you guys

Introduce Yourself

Em I know this may be late, and probably out of time but here's what I will tell you. When I came back, I myself became quite the alcoholic. This went on for well, I don't know how long, and I won't tell anyone where I was unless you already know. But the thing is, from my personal experience, I was ashamed and wanted to just run away. I don't know if this fits in with your friend or not, but it also might be worth a try to figure out if he is running from something and get him some help... The best thing for you to do with him is probably put him in rehab, or some sort of anti-drug program that won't allow him to run off any time he chooses and escape or return to his drug use. Some people just don't want help, I was that way for a while and if it wasn't for a sudden realazation I probably would have ended my life in a bottle. It's a shame, but meth is one of those things that is extremely difficult to get over. And even more so on your own. Help is the best thing for your friend. Any kind.I'm sorry my ramble probably didn't have much advice in it, but I tried to help. I hope your friend overcomes his problems and pulls through.Have a great one ya'll.

locticians the silly and damaging things they do

Dreading Methods

Holy crap! That is crazy! I was told that asians and whites couldn't do it on their own. I didn't believe them of course as I had gone just a week without brushing my hair before and it starts to knot up :P

Haha the silliest thing i've ever seen, is that people tell you that your hair won't dread cause your caucasion/asian etc. And if you do, it has to be done professionally..

Hello!

Introduce Yourself

Hello ya'll, i'm matt and i have been doing research on dreading my hair. If you have to ask my why I am doing this, my answer would be, why not? i want to see the journey it takes me through. Whether it is spiritual, emotional, or just for the hell of it. I was going to waste money buying these products, but I later found out that these were harmful. I guess i will just go with seperating them, so that i don't get one big dread but otherwise let nature take it's course. Also if you guys would be so kind, please offer me tips and etc. I think it's been like three weeks since I last combed my hair, i wash it every day because i don't want my hair to stink or smell. Anyways, please offer tips if you can it would be greatly appreciated. I will get a picture up soon to let ya'll see how it's looking so far haha. I doubt they are any good, but what the hell, gotta learn to let go right?Thank you for reading this I know it's rather long winded and you might think it a waste of your time.Untill the next time I post or read, have at it ya'll!

I have questions about dreadwax - yes, I'm really asking this here lol

Dread Products

Alright man look, I've been dreading for a very short time (it can't even be considered dreads if you look at my first pictures haha, which were taken last night) and whether or not you read this, that is completely alright with me.But first, let me say this, don't know if it's already been said but here goes.First: You market dreads as if there is only one type of dread to have. The perfect, salon done dreads. They have to look like this, by the message you put out. Like there is only way to do this. The last time i went to your site, (i almost backcombed, but I am glad because I will save my hair. I hate not having hair) you labeled the natural way of doing it as 'neglect' That in itself implies that it is not a very good way of doing it. Why not change the wording, to something more friendly like natural.Second: Your videos target stoner kids and teenagers, most probably under the age of 16 and stress upon the poin that everyone who has dreadlocks is a stoner. False. I can prove that wrong if you'd like me to, but i won't. You also shove the backcombing/wax/dread locka products in the face of those kids, without warning of the damage it can do to hair. If people want to use your products, then let them. But you also must warn them that damage can and will be done during those processes, including the wax.Third: Wax. I'm not the smartest man in the world, but have you ever seen dried wax before? (i.e. a candle?) Now think of that in your hair, the harmful chemicals it has and the fact that if you pour water onto it, which is needed to provide nutrients to your hair, it has no effect. So in simple, everyday terms, your hair isn't getting the nutrients needed to grow and become strong.Four: Stop implying that everyone that has dreadlocks is a fucking pothead. I hate that gusto, because while I am open to people that smoke weed, I do not. And if I go out in public with dreadlocks I will automatically be looked upon and shunned as a pot head, or even a hippie. Sure we have free spirits here, and people that like to smoke weed. But the fact is, this is an accepting culture. Finally: I respect you for coming here and getting blasted. That takes balls man, and I didn't mean to sound harsh but I just want you to understand that some of the things you are doing are wrong and that you do not provide enough information. It is easy to take advantage of people. But harder to do the right thing. Now I have my own sins and whatnot, which will not be discussed, but I try to do right by people. Treat your neighbor as you want to be treated. That's the golden rule. So, good luck man and I wish you nothing but the best.
