Straight-haired TnR addict???

Dreading Methods

ive had this same problem though most of mine have stayed in, the back seems to fall out alot and i find myself in idle time at work or class doin the same thing...ive came to the point to just let them be...w.e if people dont like it or shoot you funny looks...after a month of dreading i have started to get positive remarks (which are always nice) about my hair fitting my style and such. Like SE said just keep your hands out and wear a tam if you find yourself playin with em

yeah i guess i just dont understand...how im the selfish one? thats what im gettin blamed for. ive convinced my family to be alright with it. which was the hard part...or so i thought. but its done and over with now...no sense on dwelling on it. time to move forward and live my life how i think it should be lived....with potentially amazing dreads lol

My girlfriend and I literally just broke up after 3-4ish years just because she didnt agree with me dreading my hair. are you fuckin serious?! I guess if a relationship cant handle a simple change of hair then it isnt meant to be. Cant help but try to vent. sorry...and you all are very down to earth so this seems the place to be.

Natural Dreadlocks

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Im at the 1 week 4 day mark as well friend. However i bought a wool tam (which is awesome) and i can see differences already. It seems to make the hair frizzy which i would assume leads to more knotting. =)

So just get a bowl of baking soda and water and soak my hair in it? What ratio if water to baking soda is best? And thank you.

Dreading Methods

Ok, I've finally decided to go through with the dreading process. Woot. But right now im looking for some tips on how to start. I want to go the "au natural" so I guess more than anything i'm wondering exactly what shampoo or w/e i need will be the best way to go. I dont comb my hair as is, but i guess my shampoo w/ conditioner in it doesnt help the process. Just lookin for some insight. thanks =D
