rubber bands

General Questions

okay out they come, i noticed when they went sticky so i was replacin them all the time. since i don't need em though i won't bother. thanks guys Alden said:
Beads are great, bands are not. They deteriorate into this slimy, black, tar that's impossible to get out of dreads. Remove them ASAP before they really start to fuck up your hair!!

If you must use something, go out and buy 100% cotton thread. Your dreads can absorb that without causing any damage to your hair.

shampoo and loose hairs

Dread Maintenance

first of all can anyone suggest a good shampoo for dreads i use Dread Fusion Dread Shampoo Soap Bar atm, 140 grams is around 6 quid and seems to last quite a while, says it's all natrual too. this good or is there better i can get. also if crochet is bad for them what do i do with my loose hairs? i can't cut them off, against the rasta way.

Frizz ease for frizz?

General Questions

not sure about sites, you could check the shop on this one they look good, or even learn how to knit or french crochet and make your own individual one. i'm learning to french crochet just for that purpose. Arturis Static said:

General Questions

thanks guys didn't know that, don't know anyone with dreads and could only get info from companies, took ages to think to look up a dread forum. i'll quit the crochet then, aloe sounds good, natrual aswell, i spose the frizz ease is a bad idea. okay thanks guys. i'll keep that in mind

Frizz ease for frizz?

General Questions

hey there, had the dreads for about 3 months now, wash em with residue free shampoo. use a crochet needle for loose hairs, no other products apart from that. i gonna ask a frequently asked question but how do i get rid of the frizz? i thought frizz ease but that might lube them up a bit so they don't form as well. i don't really wanna buy some useless produce of a dreadlock site. My method at the mo is to gather the loose hairs, make a hairball and crochet it into a dread. i heard that gettin a wool jumper or hat and rubbin your whole scalp in a clocwise motion (or anti, don't matter). anyone know if this helps at all? anyway i would be real irie if some one told i.
