Dread Maintenance

Hey guys! I've been dreading since May '10. Everything is pretty good. Up until now i was washing with this residue free psoriasis shampoo i bought at walgreens. It has worked pretty well, and kept itching minimal. But once i took my rubberbands off my roots..washing kinda makes a mess. I've been loosening hairs and such. And lately it hasn't relieved the itch as much. Was a good SIMPLE way or product to use?

Hey guys, I thought i'd show some photos of my beads, and have some of you post photos of yours, I Just got the "M" one today...My name is Mark. Haha, The colorful one is a bead i had that was already finished but i sanded it down and hand painted it, the other two are just wooden ones that i put in along time ago to help lock up some hair.

Haha, well not straight for 4 Months, they would snap, and i would replace them all the time, i think it worked well, the hair tends to strengthen where the pressure is applied, same with my beads, like wherever i put a bead it got super strong! But yeah i was just making sure i was in the clear, Thanks!

Hey guys! I'm in about my 4th month of dreading. I had tiny rubberbands around my roots until about a week ago. Since i took them off, it freed some of my loose hair; that is now more obvious than before. I guess i always assumed that they would just start to tie in? Or do i need to work them in? Any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated!Photo: Here is a photo of when i first took of the rubberbands..i need to update.Thanks all!

Wow! You guys are awesome! Haha, such positive feedback! Um, i had them started by a friend, using backcombing, the crochet needle, and rolling. From there on out i had tiny rubberbands on the roots, and on the tips for awhile.

Wow man, Thats a drag..The Church is supposed to be the body of Christ...He hung out with hookers an thieves. How is a Church supposed to help people that need it, when they're scared of their own shadow. Its the sick who need a doctor..not the healthy....a Church that kicks people out because they're different is the most hypocritical thing ever. Find a new place to worship bro.
