Needing ideas for incorporating my dreads into a costume

General Talk

Medusa is a good one. The Corpse Bride is an option, but it's not so much a mythical creature. A cavewoman is always a good choice.

For everybody :)

General Talk

Yoga, bellydancing, making hair flowers and jewelry. I play a ridiculous amount of sand volleyball in the warm months and love anything outdoors.I am loving the positivity in this forum! Keep it going. Namaste.

Is it just me or does Dr Bronner's leave anyone else's hair feeling almost sticky?Maybe I have hard water and that's why. But does anyone else have this issue?

Dready Names

General Talk

My biggest dread so far is named Etta, as in Etta James. Because she's a big, beautiful, soulful dreadie.

What method of dreading is this?

Dreading Methods

I think they look backcombed. I backcombed and mine looked like the second picture after about a week. The first picture looks like she had them all braided in smaller braids and taken out, I also did this the other day, and it looked the same.
