sensitive scalp problem?

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

i understand. sorry to hear that you are having this problem. my head was never sensitive until i starting my dreads. now i have all these problems with my scalp. i have huge chunks of flakes in some places and small ones in others places. i decided i was a allergic to what i was using. (baking soda and vinegar and ess. oils) so i stopped the vinegar and ess. oils and that was not the case. so now i am thinking it is part of the dreading prossess and i go on. everyone is different and what may work for one person may not work for another. my scalp is so dry and itchy but i guess is because there is no oil on my head anymore. which is okay with me, it is just what my head does. so try anything and everything and see what works for you.(just dont use wax). so it may be you are allergic to what you are using. and/or you may be washing to much. i started washing every 1 to 2 weeks and it seemed to help a little bit. dont know if this helps you but i can say this, listen to your head and let it tell you what it needs. and with time it will all work out in the end...good luck on your dreading journey.

a few questions about aloe vera

Dread Products

Me a little late with response.( Me was on Holiday. ) Me, i use 100% aloe in a bottle me get from store. it is about 4 Euro. about 3 dollars in states (i think), do not shop there much. anyway, i put in rosemary for scalp and lavender for smell and sea salt for tight lochs and then put in on when me feel like it. mainly between wash. but you need to see what works best for you and your lochs. do every thing every one says and see what happens. i hate the plant. to much work for me..lol...good luck. remember if you use plant. needs to be refriged if any left over. or put the plant in freezer it will last longer. thaw before using..sorry me Englisch bad.

loops and strays

Dread Maintenance

okay, i was in the same boat you are in...my baby dreads are looped really bad but i do not care. that is what happens when you have knots. my are getting worse but it will take time. and as for the stray hairs.....for me, my dreads were started by twist and pull, so my strays i just gather them up and make a new one. i keep my dreads as thin as i can, some are not thin and some are really fat. SO PLEASE do not worry to much. it will all work out in the end.
