here in germany we dont have this problem.but a couple of years ago i wanted to make an exchange year with a student from newzelland,we already organized everythingbut the school said i should cut of my dreads to be accepted and i couldnt go to NZ without going to schoolbecause i dint want to miss a yearso i kept my hair.....still wondering if it was the right decision i would have loved to see NZ but i also love my hairjust thought this storry is kinda related to the topicgreetzbene

dont let those people upset youif they dont accept you as you want to be their not even worth worriing about...focus more on the friends who like you for who you are and not what you look likethough i think you are gonna have some really nice dreads in a few monthsbut quit wax caus its bad, my dreads are 5 years old and i quit wax after the first year but i still find wax even in the thinest when i cut them of from time to timeyou know some wise man ;-) once said you shouldnt judge someone by whats on his head but on whats in his hearthope i got that sentence right in english :D sorry if its notwhatever kepp on dreading and be proud of it!wisch you lovebene

hahathat happens way 2 often to me toobut down here in germany most police men are polite and excuse after not finding anything illegal.i actually like that because if this happens more often then maybe it may help alot of them to give up their stereotypical views like you saidthumbsup

loose roots


Dread Maintenance

after you wash them you can rub the roots in every direction with a towel mine knott up easyer when theyr a bit wet after a few times it maybe better but it takes alot of time plus they may sometimes stick together so you will have to rip them apartbut for me it works quite good

my hair also dint dreadi have thick straight blond hair and it took me over a year to get some perm. knotts in my hairbut i have to admit that i was using wax during that time because i was told that thats what is good for my dreads....then i stopped the waxing after a year and they started knotting upbut it still took at least a year before they looked goodsorry for the bad english i am french :-)
