Blonde dreadlocks needs help!

Help! Save My Dreads

Damn they must be heavy when you wash em!

I aggree with SE, STOP crocheting, it just tears the hairs up.

Loose hairs are nothing to worry about. Every single one of my dreads has loose hair. it'll grow in by itself eventually.

Don't worry about lumps bumps or flatness, your hair will do what it wants to do to dread up. It's designed for dreads anyway!

Best advise, throw out ur mirrors, ignore what people say about your dreads and enjoy the journey. After 7 months your hair is probably trying to recover from the damage of backcombing and crocheting.

Don't do ANYTHING to it, except for washing and separating congos.

Peace!

Dread Products

DHHQ have now released a new type of wax... it's "all natural" and "suitable" for Vegans...

Anyone else think this is.... a bit much, and a bit of an insult?!?!!

Beaver Tail Dreads

General Talk

Some of mine are flat at the roots round for about 6 inches and then flat at the tips. I think they're flat because of sleeping on them, but it's not a concern really. Some of them are flat at the roots but are curling round into this cool lumpy rounded phat bastard of a dread. But my hair curls anyway. Just make sure you don't do what I did and forget to rip em apart, otherwise you get a massive UBER dread on one side of your head, that gets REALLY heavy when it's wet!

BS/ACV stuck in my hair?!!?!

Dread Maintenance

separately? Shit... I been putting the ACV in with the BS, d'you think that has something to do with it? I've not been using oils or anything like that. just been using approx 150g of BS, 2 cap fulls of ACV and 10litres of luke warm water

are ur washing with baking soda and then separately rinsing with ACV? if u wash with bs first and then rinse with ACV the vinegar dissolves all the bs. chemical reaction, just like the volcanoes we all made as kids

BS/ACV stuck in my hair?!!?!

Dread Maintenance

OK, I've been dreadding for just over 2 months now and have been using BS/ACV rinse once a week. The problem I have is one of my dreads (behind my right ear) has started eating the BS.I always make sure i give them a good rinse after i wash, but this one dread, which has only dreadded 1/4" feels really oily and sticky. When i sqeeze it slightly all this congealed baking soda comes out. It's the only dread that does it, and it feels nasty.HELP!

How do you wear your dreadlocks to work?

dreads jobs employment issues

I just wear a fleecy sort of headband to hold them back. It looks pretty cool, but gets a bit itchy after a couple of hours. Although I think I could get away with wearing them down tbh.

rectangle sections = flat dreads?

Dread Maintenance

I backcombed mine as well, the ones in rectangle sections are acually rounder than the square ones! I like my flat ones though, and if you have flat ones, you'll grow to love them too... Enjoy your journey!
