Beginning of a new journey

Introduce Yourself

Great story man... Im 1 year and 2 months freeform aka neglect method and loving them.. I had to learn to love my locks for who they are as well... I tried backcombing and twist and rip around 7 months but i didnt do it right (thank god) and now they look better than ever. Just lay back and enjoy the journey bro... Peace

Getting discouraged with progress. suggestions?

Dreading Methods

Well dude it just depends. I wash my hair 2 times a week. any less and it gets all stinky and oily. no two people have the same scalp so you cant really tell.

David E Glazai said:
honestly you should try to wash less often because twice a week is a bit much and may slow down the locking process, I use apple cider vinegar and I only wash at least every two weeks or sometimes go beyond that and my hair remains very clean which allows me to just sit back n let the dreading happen

Gone -- Free Shampoo Bar- Lemon and Patchouli Maylee's Garden

Dread Products

Only reason it would reek is because whoever is making it reek doesnt know how to portion it out right. Too much of that stuff and yeah I agree it can put a hurt on your nose, just enough and its very relaxing and pleasant to be around.

How soon can I wash?

Dread Maintenance

I know what you mean, its in the upper 90's and sometimes reaching 100 here. I wash daily sometimes but just make sure to not get use to it. Also swimmin is good for locks and tangles
