okay the first thing i have to say is dreads , especially twist and rip look AWESOME in the begining, but im about to set you up for tears, they will unravel and loosen up a bit.thats what they do, and you should love them that way.they will do what they want and lock up on their own time.keyword:timeits going to take alot of time for them to look super sweetso dont worry about that stuffdreads will be dreadsdont worry about them they know what theyre doing

Have any of you had your friends or family make one of your dreads?Im doing that tomorrow.my Best friend is flying up from Australia soon and hes going to tnr a dread for meand my boyfriend is going to be doing one soon tooas well as my mom ...whenver her rotater cuff gets better =]its a neat thing to do i thinkand an easy way to get the back of your head done if you dont really want to do it yourself haha

my brother was making fun of my dreads today and grabbed one (after pretty much pinning me down) and just palm rolled it......forcibly....to the point where i could feel my scalp getting hot.this morning when i woke up, i looked at it and it was all loose and just looked like normal straight hair in some parts.RIP favorite dread with my favorite loop forming =[

also id think laying down would help alot. the hair on the back of my head that isnt locked up and is on my pillow most of the day (im super lazy haha) is actually knotting up alot quicker than i ever thought it would haha soaringeagle said:

definately just lat tour head on some wool you'll notice it helping fairly quickly

ugh i hate the "you have to shave your head" comment.Im sure they know nothing about dreads, but really, if youve got the patience and time, dreads dont have to be shaved off.and i start school in 15 days, so im kinda excited/worried about the comments lolim more excited thoughand already ive had my bro make fun of me , and actually kill one of my dreads =[he even threw rice at me, which made me mad at him for trying to mess my dreads up, AND for wasting food.dont worry about what people saytheyre idiots =P
