Losts a lot of my knots

Dread Maintenance

I realize that, and I want them dry but not dry to the point they are crispy. If I tried to bend a piece it would break off...

No disrespect, but you really need to reread what I have written. I was using less because it was drying them out too much. It was working miracles and wonders but it was drying out my hair too much. If I use even more my hair will be dry as a former-alcoholic.

Losts a lot of my knots

Dread Maintenance

So I started my dreads about a month ago and have successfully created a lot knots in my hair. I wash my hair with baking soda mixed with salt, let it sit for about 10 min and then rinse. I then spray on some salt water and dry my hair with a towel (gently). I've been doing this since the beginning of when i started but last night when i did my shower I did not use any salt because they were getting ubber dry. Today I wake up in the morning and tons and tons of my knots are gone and my hair is silky smooth again...it doesn't even stick to each other any more. If I touch a knot it literally just falls apart. I have a few left but I have a lot of concerns....

What caused so many of my knots to fall out? The lack of salt? If it is the lack of salt...how do i prevent over-salt with out stopping completely?

I barely use any salt in the water...1table spoon in my 1 gallon jug with baking soda...and half table spoon in a quart spray bottle.

Does Working out= no dreads?

Dreads and Diets

From what I've read, and what people have told me is that the sweat is good for your hair, sweat is essentially salt water, exactly like the ocean, and they say ocean water speeds up the locking process, so you're in the green. (I'm a runner, and I run with dreads, it seems to make em stick together easier)
