Curly dreads??

Dread Maintenance

The weight of the dread may make them appear less curly, but not necessary. Don't worry, curls in dreads look nice (:

Organic Locking Creme?

Dread Products

Maybe, but only if dreads are mature and dry. But I'd still rather recommend pure aloe vera for moisturizing them.

my tips are really loose! TnR?!

Dread Maintenance

3 inches of staight hair is completely normal, and ThR is only necessary when you are making them, to section them. I would not recommend doing TnR again, because that will only bring you back to step 1.

Like Jesse said, leave them be and forget that you even have them (:

Questions About my Dreads

Dread Maintenance

You should only use TnR the first time to section hair and "show them their way", but later on, you don't really need to TnR again. It will only bring you back to the beginning of your journey, instead of doing anything good.

Just let them be (: you are probably going to hear that a lot, but it's really that simple

Dr. Bronners question

Dread Maintenance

The only thing i could think of is the amount that he puts on is smaller or he dillutes it more. Though the problem is probably hard water, that makes the soap really hard to rinse. I recommend you to try the one in a bar.

Good luck!

Dr. Bronners question

Dread Maintenance

Are you using the liquid Dr. Bronners? I've heard that the one in solid form (bar shampoo) works better in hard water, altough I haven't tried it yet.

Dreading Methods

Going natural also helps the people around you to accept the new you, since you'll go through little changes day by day, and not becoming a dreadie over night.

I'm slowly realizing it really is the journey that's important, and not the goal itself (:

Hey Everyone!

Introduce Yourself

Natural method keeps them healthy and is a good start for having dreads many years without mold or other unwanted trash build up in your hair.

About drying, It's better to pat them dry, since hair is more fragile when wet and vigorous rubbing isn't good, dreaded or not. I would recommend drying them a little with a towel (so that it isn't dripping anymore) and then let them air dry. In case where you had taken a shower in the evening, dry them with the blower. Better to damage them a little with the blower, than to have moldy dreads ;)

Hey Everyone!

Introduce Yourself

If you touch/twist/play with them a lot, you're taking away their freedom. And they need ot be free in order to lock up. The only time I'd recommend touching is to separate them in the beginning, when they are still finding their way and trying to befriend neighbouring hair/dreads.

And patience is really the key to success (: try to forget about them and enjoy your day to day life!

How do I dry my hair?

Introduce Yourself

And try not to wash in the late afternoon/evening, otherwise you'd be forced to blowdry them, otherwise it's really easy to get mildew. Spend as much as you can out in the sun and they'll be dry in no time. Just don't go to sleep with moist hair or put a beanie over it and you shall be alright!
