Every day matinence question

Dread Maintenance

hmm, i used bands for awhile and in my experience it did not help me dread faster. sometimes the ends of the hair have to be pulled into the dread naturally to lock. bands can prevent that. of course most of my locks are half undreaded, but i'm not worried because i know they will dread on their own time. plus, wrapping them helps

help! it's a mess!

Dread Maintenance

i start with tnr and they were in nice sections over a month ago! i don't really care much about section and i don't worry about much when it comes to dreads but i just didn't know if this was going to turn out like a big mess in the long run.

evelyn, i got tons of stray hairs too now. i don't mind them though. they will dread up. my worry is that no matter how much i seperate hairs from one dread are still in another!

My roots grow out to longer than 6 inches.

Dread Maintenance

i use a mixture of nutragena (sp) anti-residue and baking soda. gets then squeaky clean and knots up the roots well.

more hair on one side

Dreading Methods

palm rolling in my experienced has loosened my dreads. i stopped that shit right away. Baking soda is awesome!

Thanx for covering all my questions, what do you mean by number 5?
Luckily I knew that I must be carefull not to make my dreads to thick.. I also prefer thinner ones. And also I got a huge head with PLENTY of hair so I thought I would rather have more bt thinner. I know I can probably find the answer to the next question but anyways... What the best to do for white hair if not palm rolling? Surely I must do something to get them to tighten and smoothen out? I will post pics tomorrow of the sizes of my sections. I haven't really bought any special shampoos, but I find my head starts to itch after a week of no washing.. Been looking on internet for what I can use to wash my hair, that a) doesn't leave residues and b) that isn't a speciality product that will coast me money.

So at them moment I am using sodium bicarb to clean and then just a lil apple cider vinegar. Any thoughts on this? It seems to work quite well

Going to start over.

Dreading Methods

i went with tnr just because my hair just didn't want to dread naturally (wasn't even trying to dread at the time i was just to lazy to brush my hair). so you know. with tnr, the ends don't really want to dread either. from what i have seen anyway. i'm only 1 month in and i have 2-3 inches that are still loose

did anyones dreads not thicken much?

General Talk

i'm pretty sure they will thicken after time. some people say they will thicken to the size of the sections (mostly). i'm at 1 month and they aren't getting any thicker yet but i can't wait till they do

testing for hard water?

Dread Maintenance

i was wondering if there is a cheap way to test for hard water? i was using BS wash but it was making my hair and scalp gross, but there are no other signs like buildup on the shower head or anything....

Thats why I started this dicussion by saying it was a long shot but I thought I'd just try

Andrea Schneider said:

i don't think you will really find anyone here who follow satanism.

Matthew Mcneill said:

Yes people do follow the book in there own way, like with the bible there are many different ways of following it. I am just looking to find out more from people who actually follw and pratice the rituals in the way I do and if they would like to talk about how they do theirs and what results have they gotten.

Andrea Schneider said:

a satanist do follow what the book says. there are a lot of people out there that don't know what true satanism is (most christians). though there are people who actually 'practice' what the church 'preaches' and people who just live what they think satanism is.
