i do seperate them while they are wet. much easier that way for sure. I do plan on wrapping some tonight when they dry to stop them from congoing. however, will the wraps slow the dreading process down?

General Talk

all my dreads just want to congo together. i know thats normal but everyday i have to rip at every dread and it causes me to get headaches everyday. This makes me so sad. i'm only 2 months in and i was so excited to watch watch them grow, but i just don't know if i can handle the pain it causes me :(

Dread a Wig?

General Questions

even when you are done with your days work you are required to keep a certain appearance. though, like i said they are pretty lenient as long as you are off base.

Dread a Wig?

General Questions

i don't know about your questionn, but if you do plan to join the marines it might be pointless to dread a wig. once you are in the military you are trust to look a certian way from then on (like for men,,,collared shirts, belt, no facial hair except for mustache, and hair cut neatly) even though they are leanient on clothing. i don't know if you would be allowed to where a dreaded wig. that is something to ask a recruiter.

Just A Few Questions?

Dread Maintenance

leave them alone and let them do there own thing. you can help them along by spraying salt water on them for locking. Dreadlocks take a long process. you aren't going to have beautiful dreads right away. they will probably look terrible for awhile.

as for the shampoo, i have no idea. have you tried baking soda and water? it's much gentler on new baby dreads

Every day matinence question

Dread Maintenance

maybe i said what i wanted to say wrong. when you are dreading your hair the dreads usually shrink pulling hair in on it's own. i would think that bands would prevent that process. at least it did with me.
