A friend of mine has a perm

Dreading Methods

She wants to start the dreadlock process now and when her hair grows out more cut the permed hair. Which sounds good enough but her hair isn't dreading. So shes opting for interlocking. What would be a better substitute for her permed texture???

Dread Maintenance

Lol by the end of the month he's gonna be selling some of this "equipment" for 200 and that measuring stick thing for 45. Cuz he remade it more dread appropriate.

New Guy (Not sure what to put?)

Introduce Yourself

Also I know a woman who has all her children with natural dreads. It was a covenant with the Most High. They have thinner and medium sized ones so far. Most "afrikan" people you see with thick dreads have congos. Bobs dreads were very thin when they first started off. You can see them go from thin to medium to all over the place if you look.

New Guy (Not sure what to put?)

Introduce Yourself

Well I have a few friends and have seen a few gals who opted for totally natural dreads. Some have thin some have thick. I know a set of twins who BOTH did natural. Their hair is really beat and tidy looking as well. Just throwing that in there. One has this ones, but that's because She's allowed them to congo. The other has thinner dreads but that's because she's kept them separated. As far as I know she just uses her fingers to maintain the size

I just thought that needed quoting. What a great observation, so true. I only hope I can deal with my first negative reactions with such a great attitude. Luckily no one has said anything negative about my dreads... not to my face anyway ;)
