Hardness and tightness are important factors that should be associated with good sex, not good dreads!
This! A thousand times this! Were those things even dreads? I guess at least they did look quite waxy so he's being consistent.

I want to add more dreads, but I have to go to court

Introduce Yourself

This is exactly how I feel but have never been able to convery it in so few words! Awesome!Do you think having 1/3 or 1/2 a head of dreads is going to look any more presentable than a full head of em? Not saying you should or shouldn't but after a point they're gonna be noticeable no matter what and if only portions are done it may look even scruffier.Chewin Change said:
i wanna add... that yes they do but if you have dreadlocks, it's best to give up caring about what anyone thinks. in a good way.

you can't control others' perception. and all you can do is do your best to change your own.

Dreading Methods

Thanks Se, no my tips are awesome little spirals for the most part. It's almost Spring here so I won't have to worry too much about the chill factor in a few weeks.

Dreading Methods

Thanks NW I think you're gorgeous too:DSE, I haven't noticed my hair smelling at all but would that be because it's still not matured as dreads? Should I just play it safe and squeeze as much out as possible then air dry only always? I have heard using a hairdryer isn't a great idea, and I couldn't be bothered, but I don't get any time to sit in the sun on a weekday.

Newbie looking for nice ideas :)

Introduce Yourself

Welcome Gemma:)Good idea to find new styles and this is the place for any knowledge dread related. I find the best style (IMO) is just shaken out and free but I know people like to mix it up and there are heaps of styles that look awesome.

Dreading Methods

Tony, I've started drying my hair by just squeezing sections out, then the same again but in the towel. Then I wrap it up in the towel on top of my head while I dry my bod (yeah it's a 2 towel system, I'm a big shot!) and brush teef etc. Once I'm ready to put clothes on it's usually dry enough to take out of the towel without dripping everywhere. I've gotten into the habit of only wetting them if I'm going to wash em, and only ever in the morning so I have all day for them to dry and am not going to sleep with wet hair.Good choice on going natural for your dreads, you should take pics for a timeline:)
