loose hair... yet again

Dread Maintenance

crocheting and ripping out your loose hair, I'm sure has made your situation much worse. I don't think you have proven anything except that when you mess with your "dreads" too much you really fu*k em up! Dreads aren't rocket science. If you leave your hair alone it WILL dread! Don't blame SE's advice blame your own impatience! It sounds like you want to cut so go ahead.

I would be DYING if I couldn't wash my hair for a month!! eek! It's probably going to be itchy, possibly scabby and really hard to deal with. I would definitely wash your hair as soon as you feel you need to. Dirty hair doesn't lock well. Someone else JUST posted about the same situation. You should really read this~ http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/itchy-and-scabby-scalp-help?commentId=3754945%3AComment%3A164659#axzz0uvq3UZ7L

Sounds pretty smart to me, I guess if you wanted to you could always add them later (not that i'm recommending it), but you'll probably fall in love with your natural locks anyway and will have avoided any possible problems. MJ said:
I think I may just talk the stylist into not adding extensions. As lovely as they look I do not want to have any problems

I don't know much about fake hair, never having used it but i have heard many people on here unhappy after going to a salon. I am also pretty sure that you're not supposed to put extensions in dreads that are not mature. SE wasn't being rude he was being honest. There is quite a lot of good info on this site if you read around. Good Luck and Many Blessings

Hi! yes your hair will eventually all dread,You probably T & R'd it pretty tight so it's rough. It will most likely all come undone in the next few days/weeks and then knot up on it's own. So let it do it's thing. It will be fine. You can shower and wash your hair with a residue free shampoo whenever you feel like it. I wouldn't chop anything if i were you! ;o)
