Still facing ignorance, and it's irritating...

Life Issues Facing Dreads

so sorry that happened to you sweetie! Doctors (and people in general) can be complete, arrogant, asses at times. He had no right to treat you that way! Though better to find out now when you aren't desperately in need of his medical help I suppose. I hope you can find a doctor that will treat you with respect next time. Glad to see you back!! Much Love

Attention New England DreadHeads!!!!!!!!

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

Hey Dready Fam!!! I recently posted and event http://www.dreadlockssite.com/events/strangecreek-music-festival and I was thrilled to see that a few of you are already planning to attend! This is such an ~*AMAZING*~ festival. Very laid back, incredible music & vibe. Tons of stuff for the kiddos and adults. It's a very family friendly fest but even if you don't have kids you will have the time of your life! We have been regulars at StrangeCreek as well as Wormtowns fall fest, Wormfest, for the past 6 years and have loved every minute of it. We have been working the kids cabin for the past few years as well.

I would so much LOVE to meet as many of you as possible, so if you live in New England I hope you can try and make it!!!! If you do PLEASE look for me & my fam around the fest and especially at The Kids Cabin!!!!!!! My name is Laura. So Much Love To You ALL!!!!!

Something besides Tea Tree Oil

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

tea tree is really important, its bug repelling, natural antiseptic and anti-fungal properties are essential to dreads IMHO. If you add the lavendar and rosemany or peppermint to your mix it should be much less noticeable to others :o)

UNCHARACTERISTIC RANT

Dread Accessories

I completely understand where you're coming from Panterra! It's an unfortunate reality for us handcrafting mama's. I have begun the policy of not even starting a custom clothing order for someone until I receive 1/2 payment upfront. That way I can buy the materials and not be out any $$ if the customer doesn't pay me in the end. I then make their item and send a pic if I do not receive the remaining payment they do not get their order and I can hopefully sell it to someone else. It's a little different with tams because the price is lower so I would always ask for the payment upfront. I also think you should sell the stock you have right now and maybe not take any more custom orders until you do. Set up your shop here on DLS. It's not about the money, I understand that, it's a lack of respect for the hard work & love we put into every creation! I do believe that it's not usually intentional nonetheless it's rude!! I'm sure some people believe my policies to be a bit harsh but I'd probably go broke if I did it any other way! (((H*U*G*S))) & Much Love

Aloe Vera on Dreads: HELP!!

Dread Maintenance

you need to scrape the insides of the plant out and blend it up. It will not help tighten any part of your dreads in fact it will be a tad conditioning so use it sparingly! There are no healthy ways to tighten up your roots, your hair needs to be allowed some movement in order to continue knotting.

need some help....

Dreadlock Styles and Dread Styling

I really hope nobody follows the advice of the girl in that vid. Her dreads look maintained to DEATH! Every method she recommended was damaging. I also believe the OP specifically stated that she did NOT want to crochet her dreads...
