I've actually got this too, mine is just black (as is my pillowcase...)But in some places it more like small dots in the dread i'm also pretty sure its not mold because i don't think they smell bad.

I've stopped using a towel since i've noticed this.

I usually use a Shampoo bar from dreadlocksshampoo but i've done BS in the past and doing it once in a while.

If something is working for you Yonatan please give me a reply or something, them i would be pleased.

Also i took a pic with my phone, not sure if you can see anything but in one of them there is like some dots on the tips and the second there is like a blackish greenish spot which i got in a couple of other dreads too, also they discoloured parts are harder than the dreads, im thinking it could be some old wax which then got onto some flint or something, but i think i've had it for a while..

Also my dreads aint that long so har to photograph em...

wax vs. no wax

Well im 16 now and i've had my dreads since dec 2010 ( i was 15 back then) Where i got em made in a saloon, with wax and all that shit.. But the lady who made them since i should't wash for 2 weeks and then they would be fine.. Altho some months after i found this site, and stopped waxing, i haven't cut em. Currently (after nearly 14 months) i still got loads of loose hair, but i got the dreads if u can say that..

Who else had/has to deal with people telling them they should get their dreads done "properly"?

i actually got mine made in a saloon (Yes i regret it, should've gone for the natural. If only i knew better back then...)But i figured out there was no need for maintenance except washing. After that i've heard it some times, but its rare now.Altho my parents never comment on my dreads, not even a single bit. I may have gotten them long enough for them to believe that dreads are nice and clean

Well my dreads are pretty much dreaded. i dont got enough loose hair to make more i guess,..But i've got some dreads that aint dreaded at the middle to the tips of it yet. But i dont know if i should get the bar or liquid

Heey, i've been wondering about ordering some of the shampoo they got on Dreadlockshampoo.com, and i was just curious about wither to get soap bars or liquid?

I've had my dread in 14 months tomorrow so they ain't new, but still loads of loose hais and such. And also dreading probably takes some more time since i used wax (And ofc i will be ordering the B-Gone wax removal stuff

And also, do anyone got some instructions on how to use the stuff? (Bars/Liquid, lock up gel and wax remover?)
