Tea Tree Oil Issue - I know I'm not alone!

Dread Maintenance

I ended up (carefully) transferring half of the liquid to my former (thus empty) bottle. They're pretty easy to count drops out of once they're less than about 2/3 full, so this solved my problem. Thanks yinz!

Tea Tree Oil Issue - I know I'm not alone!

Dread Maintenance

SE, sorry if you answered this before, I certainly didn't see your response. I'm certain what I've been using is essential oils, despite the lack of a dropper top.

I always use one of the 3 on the left (usually eco-harvest, unless I can find organic)

Tea Tree Oil Issue - I know I'm not alone!

Dread Maintenance

Thanks, Panterra. I was avoiding transferring containers for several reasons (laziness, sloppiness, etc), but I think that's what it's gonna come to (awesome name btw).

Decent idea Change - unfortunately, the necks of the Aura Cacia bottles are substantially bigger than that of the Desert Essence bottles.

Tea Tree Oil Issue - I know I'm not alone!

Dread Maintenance

I know many of you use the BS/ACV method, so I'm hoping someone here can help: Why do all the essential oils have those handy dropper tops except tea tree!? I'm tired of it! Has anyone figured out a solution to this aside from a steady hand? They SUCK to try to count drops out of until they're almost half depleted, because the oil has to dribble all the way down the side of the bottle and drip off the bottom. Aside from being inconvenient, this creates a margin of error AND is wasteful! I know I'm not the only one who's dealt with this! Come on people, I've reached my breaking point! I was trying to buy a tiny dropper for a while, but I couldn't find anywhere that sold one the right size. Any ideas?

Have problems with your dreads and helmets?

Dread Accessories

Before I had dreads, I wore a medium or small helmet (for snowboarding). After 2 years of neglect, I had to size up to an XL. My merino wool Buff is incredibly comfortable underneath. It pulls my dreads back out of my face, and it is my go-to for a variety of situations. Awesome product - HIGHLY recommended.

What are your reasons for not growing a beard?

General Questions

I never clean shave, either. Ienjoy wearing a 'stache and/or beard, but when it gets too long it does look rather 'primitive'...

Regarding tams..

Dreading Methods

My job is similar in that I sometimes have to wear a helmet/hardhat. I think you're looking for something very thin to keep your hair out of your way. A bandana works pretty well for this, but I prefer a product called the Buff. The merino wool ones are especially comfy :)

Trouble with the roots of super fine baby dreads

Dreading Methods

I play football (soccer if you're American) up to 5 nights a week, and the other nights I run, swim or lift. I'll spare you the details, but I sweat a LOT, especially when I play soccer, necessitating daily bathing Paula said:
sea salt spray should be about a tablespoon per spray bottle the size of a regular water bottle. I havent used it in a while but when I did, I would spray right after I wash. Then let it dry and it wouldn't be removed till my next wash(1-2 days). Though for some prefer to spray it on 1-2 hours before washing the dreads.

And you want to try to spray only on the dreads and avoid the scalp as much as possible or it can get too dry and itchy, or get irritated by the salt.

Matt-
Why do you have to wash every day?

hey paula, if you would be so kind as to give me some advice on the salt water. what measurments should I use, and when I apply it how long can it stay on? can I put it on at like 8 o'clock PM and wash my hair the next day at 11 AM, or is that too long?
