help spread the truth about dreadlocks

General Talk

I know a place that doesnt charge a set up fee or anything. Just do preorders on the site then make the order based on the preorders. Thats how i started doing merch for my music endevours. They can go up to a 5x on shirts and i can get bandannas for a decent price also. Minimums are low so it wouldnt be bad at all. Minimums for both bandannas and shirts are 20, im sure theres atleast that many dreadys on here that would get a shirt. soaringeagle said:

The Great "Outdoors" and dreads??????

General Questions

Last year i would find a few mosquitoes would wash out of my hair during the summer time at night after working and ended up just shaving my head to avoid having bugs stuck in my hair. Im in the same boat with MIDread. I live on a farm, do gardening, and am commonly exposed to insects. Im kind of curious what happens to the exoskeleton over a period of time if a bug does get in my hair. Would the exoskeleton be harmful to the dread?

Ya but you could order 5 and the shipping would be the same. That could save you a bit and for the most part you wouldnt have to worry about running out, Im sure theyll last a decent bit. Sister Rags said:

Whats it like being a dready parent?

Dreads in the Family

I feel you on that. Every summer i go to this festival called the Gathering of the Juggalos and its all a bunch of people with love and acceptance up there just wanting to hang out with other people full of love and acceptance. The juggalo community is a lot like having dreads. People tend to take the stereotypes of the few bad apples of that community and think thats how everyone of them are. sue said:
I just want to say that... in all my life.. the people that I have seen be the most kind, the most caring and gentle... the most gracious, forgiving, helpful etc. etc... are the 'hippie bums' that have travelled in and out of my life. I feel that, collectively, 'we' are the people with the least amount of judgement. I mean, if anyone has ever been to a 2/3 day festival.. you better be ready to count on all of the above mentioned qualities.
we may only be a small percentage of the world, but, we do stand out. we do get noticed. and when you have a good message, that can be an amazing thing! so dont get upset at looks... just give a giant smile and maybe those who look will pass it along :)
