Hey nic man!!! so thats what you looked like shaved lol :P
not bad :)
anyways i work at a vitamin supplement store, the best things to make sure you take are a multi vitamin (pre natels are good but just taking a regular one is good, all these do are insure your body is supplied with everything it needs for the body to make sure it can grow hair at as it's most optimal rate possible)

also SE is right a herb called horsetail, (also usually found called by SIlica) can be very useful to promote hair growth as well, sometimes you can find this in a multi vitamin formula with hair growth in mind.

also a B vitamin called Biotin can be very useful to insure your hair grows as fast an strong as possible, alot of people I know take this for that reason up to 5mg daily. (sometimes shampoos contain this for the same reason)

hope you get to grow your hair out long again tho man.

Honestly my reason for cutting was cause, i had family always telling me it looked horrible friends telling me to cut it. So after almost 6 months not even a year =/ i cut them. Then i did them again. For about 3 months then my job was give'n me a hard time i thought i was gonna have to find i a new one so then. I though i was gonna have to get a job in fast food but it would be hard with the white boy locks. So i shaved and now i still have the same job and i'm kicking myself in the ass for cutting the first set off. =P But yea thats my story Arturis Static said:
Greetings Nic Sullivan,

I have always found it interesting to conversant about people who have cut their locks (and not because they used wax and it went horribly wrong). So why did you cut them off and how many year(s) did you have them for?

As for the advice of having a good amount of thinking before proceeding to cut the locks, that is very true. I have been thinking about cutting my hair since like 2009 and have decided that in 2012 I will cut them. I've grown them for 8 years so far and once they reach that 10 year mark I think it will be time....

"Metalhead" and "Hippie's"

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

i agree with you i have half a mind to shut down the thread, this is not what is was suppose to be about. This is one of the only times on this site (minus the all the stuff about the wax debate) that i have seen such closed mindedness. Btw Pantera is one of my favorite bands of all times. I should be going to get a tattoo of a broken whiskey bottle that say on the label pantera 101. proof. as soon as i get the money. Panterra Caraway said:
Thanks Tara and Asleigh for bringing some peace and sanity to this thread, altho Maxe and Shuk Coot did too. I started reading this out of curiousity and soon moved to irritaion and disgust! It all really sounds like a bunch of male posturing. When any of you guys walk down the street and end up being treated offensively or hassled because you sport dreads or certain clothes I am sure it pisses you off and you would be the first ones loudly complaining too...well, thanks for helping to perpetuate the very stereotyping you complain about. Why does everyone have to have a label? I'll tell ya..because then you seem to think you have everthing figured out and you know who to like or dislike or who's your bro! Bullshit! Oh, look at me, I'm bad ass, I worship Satan!!! Oh brother. Grow up. Why can't someone just be?

Holy shit dude i think i missed something this wasn't even a thread about that stuff. It was simply a way i thought i could talk about metal and compare it to other sub-cultures. So i don't understand to who or what your trying to prove. With all of your nonsense hellsmoke said:
christian metal bands are the cockroach of true blackmetal
they are called numetal mainly as posers or wannabe

Maxe said:
I'm not sure either subculture can be stereotyped completely, there are even christian metal bands lol
I think "hippies" and "metalheads" generally have some things in common as people already stated, but for me the hippieculture is a lot more..mature..

And don't forget that there are also a lot of dreads in punk =)
