Reasons for choosing dreadlocks?

General Talk

For me I like to wear my hair long, but with my thin curly hair it would all be puffed out, with lots of split ends (it was also very dry) and the only way to tame it was to use lots of product to make it look presentable, As I loved how dreads looked it made sence to let my hair dread and now have my hair long and looking presentable without any product

Give me some advice :D

General Questions

I don't know if i can help but it will be hard for dreads to start forming in short hair. As for doing what you are in dreading random sections of hair will give you dreads of mixed sizes as opposed to dreads that are more unform if you were to evenly section your head at the start.good luck with the dreading and DON'T USE WAX

Whats so bad about salon dreads

General Questions

I started my dreads at a salon but before i started i did some research a found a salon with lots of dread experance and would listen to me they sectioned and backcombed my hair did not use wax, perm or crocheting and didn't try to sell me any other prouducts as for maintance visits they didn't put a timeline on it as to when it was requiredNow seventeen months later my dreads have been left to do there own thing there getting longer and are very healthy and recieve lots of good commentsIf you want salon dreads do your homework on the salons you are looking at
