Thanks! - and that's pretty much how I am - "simple" LOL! What you see (or read) is pretty much what you get. I am glad that all of your feet are ok though... :P Spider Feet said:
Oh no, I didn't take it that way at all(enjoyed the pun though =p ). I was enjoying reading through everyone's interpretation of it and they are all right. We are all saying the exact same basic point through different situations and perspectives. I just really enjoy the direct simplicity of what you said.

:) Didn't mean to reiterate the point. Sorry if I stepped on your feet.

I think it all depends on how sensitive you are. I tend to brush those things off. No biggie if somebody disagrees with my opinion. I don't have to talk to them or live with them!!! :)

Do you have to leave the forum to avoid the negative vibes????? That seems really harsh!!! (Not by you, but for you!!!!) I feel bad about that!!! I see a lot of things on here that I don't necessarily agree with, but I don't take it to heart. To each thier own!!! :) So what if somebody palm rolls? So what if somebody eats or doesn't eat meat???? I try to avoid those conversations. I can tell by the title of the forum that I am gonna have an issue with the subject and just surf on by. That is the GREAT thing about an online forum!!! You can avoid whatever you want!!! I hate to see someone feel like they have to avoid the whole site or the majority of the people on here just because of a few different and o.k., maybe STRONG opinions. Can you maybe reconsider?????? I think the majority of people on here really are considerate to other people's lifestyles and opinions. Faelwynn said:
I have to agree... I'm so happy that someone finally said something regarding both maintenance and eating habits. Part of life's journey is making your own path, not followed one that's been laid down by another. That's the way I look at it. We all have choices, and while some may not be the best, you learn from it, and live with what you have after making said decisions. I heartily believe that it's the only way to learn; I don't think that another person can really grasp the severity of my mistakes and take away the same lessons that I did without living it for themselves (granted, this doesn't to all things, but I do believe that this applies to dreads and your lifestyle in general).

I was away (and tend to stay away) for the exact reasons that you mentioned. I don't need other people's negative vibes clogging my mind and body..and if that's what I find (be it here or anywhere else) then I'll leave and wait for them to dissipate before coming back. If I come back and things haven't changed much ( save for a few new faces ) then I leave again. I would rather avoid such negativity than to get sucked up into it.

Thank you, Spider Feet. It's always killed me when someone tells me about how accepting, loving, caring, forgiving, understanding they are & how everyone else should be the way and THEN the bomb drops: Someone disagrees with said accepting, loving, self-proclaimed saintly person. And the "saint" turns into the nastiest fu*k you'd ever meet. I've seen this interesting phenomenon with a LOT of people who called/call themselves "hippies": Ah, yeah, I am sooo loving...until you don't agree with everything I say.... *BAM!*

O.K., O.K.... Just to clear the air... my ass is just fine! Ha-Ha! I am expecting a lot of comments along this line (not about my ass though.) Small town, no dreads - people won't know what to say.

O.K. - had a "girl's night out" on Friday with some friends. While standing at the bar paying my tab, a guy approaches me and tells me he actually "likes" my hair. He said it was "different"!!! LOL! He was a very clean cut, conservative looking guy. I laughed, politely thanked him and told him "it's a work in progress!!!" I laughed because I didn't get "your hair is cool" or your hair is pretty or awesome, etc..." I got "your hair is different!" Well, I'll take what I can get!!! Compliment or not, I'm owning that one!!!! LOL!!!

Light Beings, UFO's, Star Gates and Encounters of All Sorts

Oh I don't have any problem accepting that people have these experiences. I just have problems accepting some of the explanations people and "experts" come up with. I believe people experience supernatural things. I just take it for granted that there is a lot of stuff out there that I can't explain, probably won't ever be able to. I don't dwell on it. I haven't seen many things I can't explain (except for that darn pewter horse that still haunts me to this day LOL!) like lights in the sky, etc. I figure if I was meant or am meant to understand it, God will reveal it to me in his own time. Must be interesting for you though!!!! :)>Island Mamma said:
I saw globes of light, not little green men, so I am not speaking of the little green men theory but rather of Light Beings that have been described biblically and other wise throughout human history.
I can see how it is confusing though.

There are dark forces, call them demons or under-worldly, their purpose is to blind humans to the truth with fear and chemicals and mass control of finance and the like.

I realize it is hard to accept people experience these happenings, especially if you have not.
MiDread said:
Never have seen any "moving stars" or UFO's and really don't believe in the "little green men" theory. If anything, I believe they are a demonic force sent to "confuse." On the lighter side though, I did have a solid pewter horse figurine start to melt in my room when I was a kid. It just started getting soft and mushing down right in front of me. I totally freaked out. It did not completely melt and when I picked it up it stopped. Although, I do kind of remember it being very warm or hot to the touch. It was always warped after that. It bothered me so much that I think I threw it away. Don't know if it was a "supernatural" occurence or not, but it sure was freaky!!!! Never could figure out what caused it.
