White water rafting with my new dreadies

Do you know the class of rapids you'll be on? I've never rafted but I have white water kayaked and I can tell you that you will get wet. In kayaking I had on a helmet and a splash jacket with a high collar so I was able, if I wanted to, to tuck my dreads into that and the helmet would cover the rest. I'd just sit back, enjoy the ride and let nature do the rest.

yo if you haven't gotten a ticket check out workexchangeteam.com. I can volunteer my time and pay the deposit on the ticket, but I do some work and get it back at the end of the festival. yo man I'd like to hear it too.My plan to get dreads was months. Everytime I brought it up with parents, my mom in particular, they didn't really like the idea. I don't know why I didn't have the idea before, I really don't, but I told them that it was my hair that I was changing, not them. Maybe they didn't like the imagine I made them look like? Anyhow, June 08' I finally convince my mom. A buddy of mine helps to backcomb, my mom helps to backcomb, I then get them crocheted by an israeli girl I work with at a summer camp, I leave for israel and while I'm there for a year I get them crocheted a couple more times by some ethiopian woman. I digress, I got them for the change in me. I couldn't just sit still anymore and just take what was given to me, I had to go out and take for myself, ask questions and do what makes life fun and I'm doing it to the best of my ability. The dreads are a journey for me, I don't know when it will end or what factors will cause it to end but I'm content until it comes.

looks like a good read, I'll have to look into it. If you're into alternative healing, or just religion or medicine or whatever, there's a book called The Anatomy of the Spirit that's pretty good.

What's the weirdest question you've been asked towards your dreads?

I've been told it looks my hair is made of: worms, spaghetti, rope.funny story, I was slacklining at a park one day, and this little girl walks up and tells me I look like Avatar, and walks off. It was the most satisfying comment I think I've gotten so far.I've been asked how many species of lice are living in them, how do you wash them...also, I used to hang out in this town square drinking with friends, playing a little bit of guitar or whatever and sometimes we'd get outrageously drunk strangers come up to us and yell or sing, and this one time this guy comes over to us, sits down next to me, pulls on my dreads and then lays down on my lap and starts to go to sleep.
