Growing More & More Impatient

Dreading Methods

The same thing happened to me. so what i decided to do was throw some beads on, wear a hat to bed ( wool is the best), and sea salt sprayed the shit out of my hair. my hair has made a lot of progress and i'm happy with it so far, but i still have a ways to go before i can officially call them dreads.

I have questions about dreadwax - yes, I'm really asking this here lol

Dread Products

Just an observation dude, my first set looked the same way. didn't mean to come off sounding harsh.

when I looked at your pictures, your "dreads" looked like they had crusted wax and broken hairs all over the place.

bushy dreads and some other follys

Dread Maintenance

throw some beads on to help the dreading process along a little bit. from my experience it tightens up the knotted hairs faster.

IS IT TRUE THAT IF YOU HAVE DREADS YOU SHOULD NOT EAT MEAT?

Dreads and Diets

as long as your not over eating meat, your body should be fine. I'm talking 2-3 servings a week would be ideal if you do eat it at all. there's a good amount of nutrients in meat such as protein, vitamins, minerals and fat (good and bad of course). the problem today is that people go out to eat and order 16 oz. steaks or burgers and eat the whole thing. when you eat this much of it the pros are outweighed by the cons by far and doing this over time can lead to obesity, colon cancer, and heart problems like SE said. It's kinda like smoking weed. there are many benefits from it, but if you do it too much, it can be harmful(bad analogy?)As far as hunting goes, i don't think anything can bite a lion to death. but i also don't think a lion could build a spear or club and kill us with it either. we have big brains that allow us to bulid tools and weapons for hunting and defense. when man figured out that they could also kill and eat animals, they saw it as beneficial because the animals they hunted were a plentiful food source. as far as we can tell, it didn't hinder our progress toward becoming the most advanced species on the planet.

dreadlocks here dreadlocks there dreadlocks everywhere

General Talk

In my town (Elmira NY) theres a few people with dreads, but usually not dreaded for more than a few years. Most are white or black and a lot are salon dreads. One guy I see every now and then has dreads to his waist and he's middle eastern. When I visited Venice, Italy for a day I saw a very attractive blonde girl with natural dreads. I generally don't see more than one or two dreaded people at once though.

piecing together my summer

Introduce Yourself

join the band. if you don't like it, quit. if that happens, get a job somewhere to fill up the time you would be spending sitting at home. save up the money and buy something nice for yourself. I always find I appreciate things more and take better care of them if I buy them with my hard earned money.

What do you think?

Introduce Yourself

Depending on what you want to do with your life, high school can be a complete waste of time, or help you on your way to your dream. If you want to get a into a college that offers a good program for what you would like to pursue as your career, doing good in high school can be your ticket in. If you yearn to live a simple life and don't get any pleasure from the b.s. they are shoving down your throat, then high school is a waste of time. It all depends on what you want to do.

the only thing i could think of is to loosen it with some residue shampoo or lots of some kind of oil just on the crocheted part. Then you could just let it remature naturally. I'm not sure if its a good idea, anybody else have any idea if this could work?
