Introduce Yourself
It is my birthday on the 10th Horray for 24! So much has turned around in my life since last year! Despite still not having money I at least have a job where they want you to promote there is tons of opportunity to promote and I can actually pay all my bills.. the saving money part is hard 
I have been there almost 3 months and have already gotten a promotion. Already working on my next one I got rid of my piece of shit ex and have not seen or heard from him since April! He has collections and repo men after him and some investigator after him as well.
I have an amazing new boyfriend who I am ready to spend the rest of my life with. My hyper puppy who is going to kill me one of these days
Just looking forward to getting thru the holidays and enjoying spending time with my family and friends. Can't wait to get started on 2011 and saving for a house my puppy needs a yard!
I miss you all and I will hopefully be getting new pics up my dreads are almost 15 months old!

I would love one. I have varying widths in my dreads so as long as it's not too small or too large I should be good. I love the smooth wood look

So the other night I was watching Ghost Adventure with my boyfriend and roommate. During a rather creepy part there was a scratching noise at the door... we all freaked a little and looked at each other like... WTF was that...my roommate got up to see what it was...opened the door... nothing there.... sits back down, and we hear it again.... goes to see... nothing.... now we have lots of annoying children that like to knock on the door and try to sell us their toys so we thought it was them so he stood by the door to open it quickly and scare them only this time when he heard it again this is what he opened the door too.....
We got her a collar and name tag and have been working very hard with training and housebreaking. She is such a smart puppy! I just hope I can keep the fact that I have her hidden from the office so they don't charge me the rediculous pet deposit and rent.We aren't sure what kind of dog she is either all Black lab or Black Lab and Great Dane or Black lab and some sort of Terrier mix. We may know when she gets a little older. She just is skinny and has long legs. So I am thinking Great Dane/ Black Lab...

Sooooo officially as of September 19th 2010 I have been a Dreadie for 1 year! It has been a fantastic journey and I can't wait for many more years to come. I will take a current picture so you guys can see my years worth of progress. Thank you SE for creating this site and sharing your knowledge with all of us! Thank you everyone for all your support through some tough times and relationship issues and all the positive feedback. I have never been so happy! I love you all so much! I am planning on going to rainbow next year so hopefully I will get to meet some of you!Peace and LoveIzzy-licous!P.S. I have wanted them for as long as I can remember. I at first was afraid of what others would think and my mother was supportive like she is about nearly everything after I discuss why I am into something. My Father on the other hand always said things about how I wont be able to get a job and it goes for my hair and my tattoos and my piercings. But I dont live with him and I have a great job so HA! My journey hit it's 1 year mark on Sept 19th and it has been very eye opening. I am a big girl and I get judged for my weight often, Since my journey began I have really gotten comfortable in my own body and my natural beauty. I occasionally will get dressed up to go out and worry about how I look. I had lost 70 lbs in 2008 and have gained it all back plus 20 lbs. I am getting back on track with my weight. I have a great job, an amazing boyfriend (who likes my dreads) and a great job! Now I just need to get out of debt, save a ton of money buy an RV and travel the US! I love my dreads and hope to have them for 20+ years!

Dread Maintenance
Honestly quit going to a loctician! Don't let them do anything to your hair you don't know anything about either! From personal experience with natural no maintenence or touched up dreads (started with twist and rip only) you will be surprised how much work really doesnt' give a shit about them. If they need to look good for work just pull them back or cover them with a wrap. Maintenence that is done on dreads is ruined the minute your head hits the pillow no matter what you do to try and prevent it. Just let them be free they will lock up faster and then not look like they need anything!
