Burt's Bees

General Questions

I have a good friend that has whats known as MCS, multiple chemical sensativity. In short what that means is that she's allergic to virtually everything, they even get to deduct their food bill from there income tax because her doctors prescribe organic food only. That being said, she uses Burts Bees Shampoo with no adverse effects and that to me speaks volumes about the safety of it. I can't say how it cleans etc. cause I've never used it, but knowing how sensative she is to chemicals I'd say it's as safe as anything you'll find.

Common issues people have with the opinions on this site.

I agree wholeheartedly Sister, Thank You....namaste' sue said:
i dont know if this helps anyone, but i always tell my kids...if someone makes them feel bad.... that the only person who can create sadness is themselves. if someone has a very strong opinion about something and you disagree.... regardless of what they say to you....it shouldnt bother you. why let someone else get you down. put that sad energy into something more positive and keep yourself happy. doesnt matter how you dread, or dress, or eat or whatever... if it makes YOU happy, and you're not hurting anyone else, then so be it.

there are so many negative people in the world... this site should be a 'safe' a place for communal thoughts and ideas. There is never any reason to put someone down...regardless of your own opinion. Difference is what makes people interesting.

it's easy to say "this is my way, so it should be everyone's way because it worked for me"
it IS harder to disagree eloquently, but in doing so, it makes you more compassionate, respectable and admirable.

Just my opinion

I don't think anyone in my family is too surprised that I'm going to do this since I already do things against the "normal" flow (like radically unschool my kids, and parent differently than they all do) but I do know they think I'm a little crazy too ;)

Welcome Mama, I started my journey at 56, and like Sister R. age never really played a part in the decision at all. Course I've always kinda been the odd ball all my life anyway :)

Haha, darn - me, too!
