I did edit my comment but it didn't save I was thinking about it and they will go away in a few years if left alone this is based on the fact that my friend frankie has dreads that are 7+years and they are all smooth and round but it takes time thats all there is to it Kellye said:

*hugs* thats awesome how you kept your brothers dreads and added them to yours I'm getting my mom to grow her hair out so that I can get some and add it to my dreads she seems pretty ok with the idea

I crocheted two dreads just to see the damage/change in texture for myself and haven't done it since the hairs have stayed in pretty much and there isn't really any damage to speak of that i've noticed it did make them a little fatter and the texture is different but they are now starting to feel like the rest of the dread again I want to say i did this sometime between april and junebut its not really worth the annoyance to me

so i guess im finally going to announce that i have removed my dreads i slowly brushed them out over the course of a month I miss them a lot but i really have to find a job and cant have anything holding me back from that because as sad as it is i live in a very closed minded community I hope to some day start them againthank you guys for all the support you gave while i had them i love all of you guys <3
