Does the WAX B Gone work to remove build up from locking cremes??

dread wax and dread kits recovery

I am ready to try the wax b gone product. I'm thinking that a locking cream is less aggressive than wax. I started locs in my daughters hair a year ago using a recommended locking creme. It wasn't until recently that I've noticed these build up rings in certain locs. After carefully examining i realize its from every time i've retwisted. Do you think the product could lift or loosen a creme?

Thank you!
