How do you take your vegan coffee?

General Questions

I love all of your comments! Thank you all for responding! Last night I had a dream I ate a bite of steak(I loved steak) and in my dream I spit it out and was like "I cant believe I put that in my mouth!" I tried to make some noodles that have milk already in them (we were out of vegan food and poor) I couldnt bring my self to eat it. I had a can of peas instead. I think I'm vegan now.

Just like with dreadlocks I woke up one morning having never questioned my life them Bam! my brain clicks over and havn't looked back.

How do you take your vegan coffee?

General Questions

I decided to become vegan 3 days ago. The only thing Ive failed at is cream in my coffee. I bout almond milk, wow its yummy! But its not thick enough it takes way to much to make it taste good. What do you use? (Note: I truly HATE coconut)

And While I've got the vegans in the house Bread, butter, bacon, what brand vegan foods do you buy. What are your favorite things to eat. Tell me your vegan secrets and help me succeed

ps I literally dont know any vegans in real life thats why Im asking you guys...

Possible hair cut / free products

Cheap acrylic yarn is known for being scratchy ;) Yarn snobs generally hate it for that reason but I LOVE IT! You can wash it and dry it and its like an 8th of the price :)

Lol I do make tams all the time for myself and friends :) I could make you one but I've never sold anything over the internet. I usually make my hats out of acrylic yarn (because its cheap) and they increase my tangles vastly and doesnt get as linty and pet hairy as wool (which get stuck in dreads) Im not sure why people say to use wool.. I know its scratchy and stuff, maybe someone can explain how to avoid tangling lint in to your dreads with wool. :)

I cant really tell from that picture but I think you need to keep growing your hair. I'd give it at least 6 months! When summer sets in and it gets hot and you still want to cut you still can but its winter. Its the best time to give it time. If you really want dreads then you will regret cutting it. Use a big tam or a thick headband to keep it out of sight and out of mind until your dreads have time to form. Its not that youre hair wont dread its that it hasnt yet. Im sure youve heard all about learning patience and dreads. :) My advice is take a deep breath and walk away from your reflection, like boiling water, just walk away.

Crazy mat on back of head

Dread Maintenance

You can use wraps and beads to keep them separated but there are down sides to that. Wraps will get tangeled in the dread when you have loose hair and it will prevent dreading to a point. If you wrap every other dread the un wrapped ones can mature a little then you can switch the wraps and let the other ones out. Beads can cause weak (undreaded/ matured) spot if you dont move it around often. When you separated you pull those loose hairs out and they just get tangled again. I hope I helped a little :)

My Dreads are a year and a half old TODAY! And I've never had a comment from a stranger. Not once, Never! Not even family (including my husband) ever comments on them. I kind of wish I knew what they were thinking, even if its bad.

When did you first get comments, how often do people comment, what do people say?
