Hey guys. My hair has been naturally bleaching itself. Its naturally dark brown but im coming up on a year of dreads and the ones on top are blonde and almost white. I use BS followed and/or Dreadlockshampoo bar. Can I dye them? Or what can I do to protect them?

Pros- they will change you. You will look awesome . Learn patience and tolerance. Have more free time (dont have to brush, blow dry, etc.) And you style will be unique. Just the other day I went to a wedding wearing pinstripe pants, a shirt and a leather blazer. I asked my friends if I looked ok and they responded "Yeah man, you have dreads. You make anything look good!" Jaja, made my day.Cons-misconceptions and judging. Bad info out there ha people thinking they're dirty. Also the stereotype that your a pothead hippie.But the cons are just your door to educate people. Happy dreading!

Dont get me wrong, i love how Clean the bars make my scalp feel. Just dont work for me.

I get residue from the dreadlockshampoo bars too. They make my dreads look grey and dirty when they dry. Im using neutrogena antiresidue shampoo once a week and switching between the bar and bs/acv for the other washes. Its quite bummer. But every thing i use either leaves residue or is too strong and drying.

I buy wood beads at craft stores. Ive hand carved some from beach wood too. Then i carve out the hole to the size of my dread using a dremmel or a drill.
