I've only had my dreads a few weeks but I wash them every couple of days with baking soda. Works great. My hair is super oily and the soda just sucks it all up.

Hey your dreads were born on my birthday! That's awesome! My hair was layered so most of mine are pretty short too. I'm excited though. They will have plenty of time to grow so we can have them forever!
