parents and color advice?

General Questions

So, one, my parents. I need to fully inform them on their concerns. I'm not brushing my hair out to please them. I got them to understand most except this.Breaking: my step mom is worried about this for some reason. How do I calm her on this? I've told her its natural and just knots but ..nope.And on to the next. As you can tell I have red hair and I am trying to fade it faster. Its faded pretty well but its pretty deep red still. I'm going for a job and I.don't want crazy red dreads. Dreads are crazy enough. :) so any advice on how I go about fading it a bit faster? Its a semi temporary dye but I've used it a few times so its pretty stuck.Oh and another this, is bs/acv rinse affected by hard water? We use a water softener, however I never know when it runs out...so...yeah

Baking soda wash problem HELP

Introduce Yourself

Work your fingers over your scalp, kinda like a scalp massage, when you rise. Don't run your fingers through your hair though. It could be youre not rinsing it all out, or using too much. If this doesn't work go to a dread shampoo.

Coconut Oil, Palm Rolling, and loose hairs/ends.

Dread Maintenance

Personally I don't think palm rolling or bands are as bad as every makes them out to be. Like everything else both have pros and cons. Some people cansay how helpful it was, others say it was a waste. Do some more research on other sites or ask more people who have had experience with bands and palm rolling, them form your own opinion. My advice? If you want /must do one or the other. Don't palm roll constently, and not hard enough to cause alot of heat, best done when hair is wet.Bands, if you must, make very loose and move them around every so often. Also don't leave them in for more than a few days (not close to the roots either)Again, look into the pros and cons of each and see what your okay with.Remember, less is more :)

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Are you doing an apple cider vinegar rinse? That would also help.

i have a question

Dread Accessories

Clay, I use polymer clay (like fimo ect ect) you can find polymer clay in most craft stores, or walmart. Craft stores have more color choices though. All you do is mold it then bake it. :)

hello to all :)

Introduce Yourself

I figured id properly introduce myself, seeing how I joined yesterday. My name is breana, I am 19 years old. I tend to be mistaken for a younger age (lowest being 12, no joke)no, I don't have dreads, but soon I will!! I am going residue free first. No one really knows what I'm planning other than my mother and a friend who will be helping me. You could say I'm ready to shock a few people :)I hope to get to know the lot of y'all!
